Anyone seen it? what were your thoughts? I saw it last night and kinda wish that I had read the book first. But, once I figured out what was going on it was pretty good... but a little too long.

Or is there already a thread on this?

There is a thread or two already. I saw it, I probably won't see it again.. but it was worth the 7 dollars. I know what you mean about the end.. it just wouldn't end!

i think that mass media and marketing hype can do alot for a poorly devised story about a contriversial subject.

Just got back from seeing it. It was pretty boring after the first 30 minutes. It was ok but nothing more.

I really don't get why all these religious people are making such a big fuss over it...it's clearly a load of baloney (as many would argue is their religion, but that's a different story). All they've done is increase the hype and publicity. How any Christian could actually be concerned by that film is truely beyond me.

K, I saw the movie because my cousins wanted to and Tom hanks was in it.

I had no desire to read the book, but I felt that if the movie correctly describes the book, that it's a moderately simple story that's trying to be entirely too deep. Does anybody else feel this way?

i haven't seen the movie yet.

What pissed me off about the book though was the little disclaimer in the front that said that the book was a historically acurate. In reality, he bended the facts to suit his book. No wonder its pissed off so many people.

Didn't read the book. Super predictable once the absurdity of the first few scenes departed. None the less a fun little psychological thriller...i wanted to see that girl naked at the end though, i mean that would be nice right?

fuck yes, when shes like, this doesnt feel right, i knew he was coming.

and that last supper picture, trippyyy

i watched it like last weekend i'll put it this way it has nothing to do with leonardo davinci.. except that one part

yes, jesus christ that was frustrating. god she was so freaking hot. what are you doin, Tommy? go for it!!!fuck!!!

yeah, it is, but its a bit weird when they talk about hymaphridites and all that stuff

i thought it was a good movie. i haven't read the book yet but someone i was with said they left a fair amount of scenes out. yea that Silas guy scared pretty much everyone in the row in front of me cause when he popped up everyone kind of jumped. i didn't think it was long at all, i thought it went by pretty fast.

take grde 9 science in ontario, you learn about hermaphrodites for like 2 weeks. all it really is i an organism that has both male an female sex organs

that's a bit weird since the book is pretty much based around leonardo devinci. The vitruvian man, the paintings, he was the priory's grand master at one point. Most of the background information, and most of the clues were somehow connected to leonardo devinci. Even the cylinder they picked up at the bank was invented by leonardo.

word.

the book was better in my opinion, because with text you're better able to show emotions because the author can just say "and he felt like this" but on screen, you have to show it.

There were a lot of small differences from the book. Most of the stuff that was left out was done so in the interest of time. Even so; it was a little too long. Great acting, but bad action sequences. Why do foreign car chases always look like a micro-machine race?

I thought the acting kinda sucked. Tom Hanks did not impress me at all in this movie. And that chick was bad...all she did was tryy to look confused and say "quoi?" but she was hot so i forgive her.

i liked it, i thought they did amazingly well for all the information given in the book.

i liked the cinemotography too, but not the ending

Its a pretty good movie, it's NOT deep and it's NOT a difficult story though, so don't go in expecting a masterpiece; just a fun suspense movie.

the book was really good, i didnt watch it yet but the one thing that made me mad was whenthe church made dan brown said his book was totally fiction but the bible is 100% true when they are both just storys... sorry if this offends anyone but i think that religion is just a stupid way to controle people....and im going to hell
