The Davinci Code

i cant wait to see if they stay true to the book. most books they turn into movies suck
 
The worst thing about the DaVinci Code is that some people actually think it's accurate.
 
true, too many people thought it was all true, but at least it got people to actually question some of the dark history of the catholic church. however, thats a whole other argument.

the movies gonna suck, because nothing on screen could possibly be as good as the book.
 
yeah the church thing i kinda creepy especially when you look back in time at the dark ages and such where they printed out varied versions of bibles and made crazy rules
 
people also beleive that Saddam was responsible for 9/11, and that Irak has WMDs

do you see a patern here?
 
there were certain parts of it that were supposed to be true, like the mary magdeline thing or whatever. but people don't realize that it's a story book and not a bible
 
yeah probially, but if you can piss the church off in order to sell books to millions of people... then go for it
 
the knights templar is one of the most bad-ass organizations in history. and honostly, learning the real history of the catholic church lies with them... in their graves. So we will probably never really know the truth.

Browns book is obviously fictional... thats why it's in the fiction section of Barnes and Nobel. But I am a firm believer that it is quite possible that Jesus is the father of a child. There is a lot of evidence that supports that.
 
I haven't read the Da Vinci code, but I was sorta under the asumption that it was more of a narrative of distorted truths, not an actualy story/plot.
 
no it definitly had a stryline and a very good one at that. it used real people and real organizations and things that those people "could" have done to make a history and mysteries. its made very well of course it makes the church out to be a political organisation that should be questioned rather than something you should blindly beleive and that sort of pissed off the church and people who are really religious.
 
I just had a huge descution on the book yesterday, it gets ennoying when people think the book is true.
 
i thought the book sounded wicked good from all of my friends, but when i started to read it i couldn't. i can't stand the way brown writes. he's not a very good writer. so i am hoping the movie will be good so i can still know the story, because it sounds really good.
 
angels and demons was sweet, who's praying for a movie of that next? the sweet thing about the davinci movie is this is the first time cameras have been in the louve
 
the book is an excellent work of fiction, ya know I heard that Dan Brown started a church based on the "teachings" in his book....doesn't that quality as rather cultish?
 
the bible is a story book, and parts of it are true, like the group of people, newton, davinci, botechelli, and who ever else, that was really a little group
 
i cant beelieve how fast movies get out on limewire and all over sights to jack for free intead of going and renting them or buying them now a days.
 
take any art history class and youll learn all about mary magdeline and how she was married to jesus and all the other disciples hated her and shit.. in those times jesus was a jew and it was common for jews to marry.. he was just a "man" of course hes married then...
 
you need to watch the history chanel, "Debunking the Davinci Code". They show that most of the book is fake, but there is significant evidence that shows jesus, may have had a daughter named Sarah. I have to go return some christmas stuff now, but I'll post later.
 
omg i see the pattern...dan brown is telling george w. what to do through his books! somebody has to put an end to this!

but seriously:

-ive read the book and i think it'll make a shitty movie.

-i too am annoyed by all the "this is the true story, the catholic church is hiding everything, yada yada bullshit" (and im not a catholic church supporter or anything)

-if you do believe the book is tue just watch one of the 10000 specials about it on tv and it is disproven with ease.

-dan brown is a kinda shitty writer when it comes to sentence structure, similes, metaphors, and so on but he does know how to make a kick-ass plot.
