- a place to share your inane opinions about skiing

- cruel but in a funny way

- a place to connect with the community

things NS will never be:

- a safe space

- welcoming (I'm sorry but gatekeeping is what keeps this forum great)

- taken 100% seriously

if you're looking for a place where everyone plays nice and wears a helmet, I think you're the one better off in r/skiing

Goddam lotta hate on daffys from the ns community. Tbh I don't think they're the coolest trick or type of butter, but when used properly, i think they can look pretty dam cool. Like nice, slow floaty rotations with oppo nose and tail just skimming over the snow on a knuckle or something can look pretty dam sick. I think daffys get so much hate cuz swerve skiers definitely use them the most, and like a majority of shit swerve skies do, it looks fucking dumb. But i bet if you saw an actually good skier use a daffy in rotation with some real speed, it might change your mind.

Ski however the fuck you want, whether that means spinning as hard as you possibly can off literally everything, doing daffy presses and butters on knuckles, with poles, without poles, not skiing park at all, skiing with a spaghetti strainer on your head...
