ok, so that didnt work too well... Sorry about the long scoring input.

The skiing was pretty rough. Dust on crust. Probably about 6 inches on ice pack. For the finals, most of the snow in the steep sections feel off so the skiing was technical.

To say that Tyler is a pro and the rest are ams is is slight overstatement. Tyler rips hard and he knows I am a big fan. The field seemed relatively weak this year, but I am guessing some of that was due to conditions and an appearance of weak skiing.

Summit/Alpental riders: JD Thompson - went for a cork three in the semis and crashed. Reed Purvis - placed 11th day one and moved to 6th skiing a technical line in a conservative way. Any DeVore(me) - placed 9th day one and moved to 13th trying to go too big on day two and not quite being able to hold up on the stiff impact.

yea, tc aint pro but he kills it forsure.
jd is a savage tho, he had to work and shit the day of the comp and still made it up.

did you crash off the 40 footer at the bottom of the king?

Yeah, I did crash on that 40 footer. I sent it pretty big. I thought that high speed would set me up with a better landing and I was wrong. It was really stiff and bucked me pretty good. The only guy that landed that cliff stopped and dropped which helped him match the angles.

wut color was ur coat? i was the guy in the bright yellow green camo.

did you get that one award or wutever they made in place of the sick bird award?

I think I had on my browns. I did not get the Sick Bird. I think it was actually given to the wrong skier. Should have gone to Zach from Mt. Baker. He went the biggest and did it pretty clean. The guy that got sick bird (rabid raven) did the same thing I did on the 40 fter.

my dad is keeping the rumor mill alive........

riding Rex with a 'troller yesterday:

kirchner is still waiting for liver transplant, but has bounced back previous surgeries

kirchner is trying to buy crystal personally away from boyne

Things were mad slushy up there today, but I had fun tearing round.

When buying my ticket, I got this from the lady at the window:

"Do you have a leash for your snowboard"

"What??"

"Do you have a leash for your snowboard?"

"I ski."

"Oh."

Thank you Crystal for stereotyping me based on my age and baggy outerwear. I appreciate the fact you cannot delineate between ski and snowboard boots when walking up to the window.

Haha, thats funny.

They're pretty clever over at Boyne's though, I think they realize in a couple decades most resorts won't be able maintain operations, so they sell their stake in the place but keep running it. Sounds like a win win to me. If Kirchner was smart he'd let the big development company buy it up. I wonder if they'll give him a family discount...
