Is Murdaahhhh

we had to read it in school and we have a test on it tommarow

anyone else readit soph. year in highschool?

nope, i did it junior year in high school. those fucking girls making all that shit up pissed me off so much. people died because of those little shits. fuck them.

yeah I read that junior year. Pretty good shit i guess... Im not super into Romantic writing... actually i quite despise it...

anyway, did you guys watch the movie? we just watched the first scene, its pretty badass, girls running around naked and tituba bites into a fucking chicken haha

i forget what its called but we read the like shortened version in grade 11. it was fucking ridiculous, i fell asleep everyday

you're lucky you don't get all my sons instead of the crucible.

crucible is good, if a bit too long.

i had to study all my sons this year, quite bad compared to millers other works.

cliff notes buddy cliff notes. got me through High school. any thing that is asked on a test in high school will be in cliff notes.

hahah we listened to the book on tape for some reason and tituba'svoice was the funniest thing ever! her barbados voice was hilarious. but remember this actually didn't happen did it? i thought it was just miller talking about mcarthyism

we just finished scarlet letter and we are gonna start the crucible soon. how is it compared to the scarlet letter? because that book absolutely blew.

Tituba's my girl.

Actually, I am at work right now in the computer lab and when I read that I burst out laughing.

Thank you Mister and thank you NS for supplying god times.

It isnt as bad as the scarlet letter because it is a play and thus they can't go on for hours about descriptions of fabric and shit. There is an easy to follow plot and if the speaker has a calm voice it is very pleasant to fall asleep to.

i couldn't finish the scarlet letter. only book i never read in high school. crucible was a little better.

i had that for summer reading one year. i actually liked the book in comparison to the other ones i had to read over the summer

I had to read the book and watch the movie....the only part i found amusing was when the guy got hanged at the end of the movie in mid sentence, pure classic!

Wow, from what I've read here, nobody seems to have an actual sense for or appreciation of literature. If you guys think readying that stuff is hard or 'blows' try reading Dickens or Laurence Sterne.

It wasn't hard, it was shit. It was boring, and I hated that book. I had to take a class in Sophmore year for American Lit., and I didn't read a single boook because they were all of those kinds of boring, crappy books. Our schools english department is so bad, because you have no options at all.

god you fuking idiot. ITS A TRUE STORY!!! miller used its premise to show how the Red Scare was alot like it.

wow.

The book is supposed to talk aobut McCarthysim and it does this through the Salem witch hunts.

It's a bring book, if you want something decent to read try "Battle Royale" by Koushun Takami

wow. are you kidding me? i realize it was an allegory to the red scare. i did mention mcarthyism ya know. but the story isn't historically acurate. it is a dramatization. even arthur miller said it. i'll be so nice as to provide a link to the quote. next time you want to try to belittle someone to make you feel smart or cool on the internet, know what you are talking about.

a bit off topic, buuuuuuuuuuuuut... in chem a while back my tacher picked up a piece of lab equipment and said, "this class, is called the gooch crucible, and its used for..." i just got a kick out of that

funny shit

ahhh shit

did it last year

so not cool

UNLESS!!!!!! u watch the film

one of few movies we viewed in high school where we got to see some actually nice shaped and bare .....

TITTIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i read the thread title and laughed at all the bad times that i had with that topic. haha witches and bitches

We read that. I stole the book and plan to shoot it into a billion little pieces, but I got a B+ on the test.

its just as bad. but why would you actually read it when there are sparknotes on it. that will tell you everything you will ever need to know, and you won't have to read it.
