its the start of the new season and im seeing all these skiers with maxed out gear and dope ass set ups. some lucky fuckers with brand new everything (skis, outerwear, bindings, boots, whatever) and lots of shredders too who are rockin gear from last year or even two years ago for the first time. since i know not everyone has that much bank to buy gear at full price... what are the craziest deals you guys have come across in the ski industry?!?

Not very crazy but I got new 2013 k2 domains from my friend for 300$ a new nice quicksilver jacket for 80$ A new line hoodie for 30$ both from an summer sale and a new saga vest for 60$ from a fellow nser and saga pants for 60 from a nser and my mom bought my boots so that all of it

Ninthward henrik pros were something like 150$ on Level9 sports brand new last year

then again its ninthward, isit really a crazy deal?

Got px12 ti's off steep and cheap for 70$ and the original Ninthward Butterlicious for 50$, self mounted em. Road them till they literally broke in half (2 seasons).

I just buy stuff here. People are so desperate to get rid of stuff and for money you can nearly steal it.

Check out geartrade.com, the BST forums here, and my personal favorite for cheap new skis, Sierra Trading post. $169 for 1-year-old K2 Recoils was my best steal.

WHERE/HOW?

ON3P Jmo's - $200

4frnt Attack 16's - $150

4Frnt Deadbolt 18's - $150

OR Shell - $100

Saga Anomie 2l - $70

Sessions pants - $15

Thule ski rack - $20

I think those are most of the good ones.

On of the other end of the spectrum, my parents sold my Thule roof rack with Yakima ski rack at a garage sale for $20. I was keeping it in storage in their garage and went to pick it up the week after they sold it...

sth 14 drivers for 130$,

185 walls with 10 days on them for 115$,

mojo 15's for 130$

29 spk 100's for 240$

XXL saga on deck for 50$

179 k2 public enemies with marker 12.0 free for 80$

The craziest deals I've seen have been via the 5 finger discount. I knew this guy who was just fucking nuts. He walked into a sports authority type store, grabbed a pair of park skis and walked out. No fucks given.

My first skis were salomon suspects at Dick's for $130. later I got new joysticks for $170, and hellbents mounted with salomon z12 bindings for $200 (shoutout to barto). gote tex suit for $120. Nordica AoS boots for $110. probably more that i cant think of...

still broke though

Brand new and mounted 2014 Volkl steps for $200 (bought 400 and sold bindings, )

used Griffons for $115

Basically new Saga Anomie 3L for $90

New 200$ Armada Tradition Pants for $80

(2 years ago) New JP Auclair Rainbow crowbars w/ Black Iridium for $60

Unbreakable composite poles for (going onto their 4th year) $30

New Rossignol Strato 70 Ti w/ Axial 2 120s (basically unsanctioned slalom race ski) for $265 - Sold for 325 2 years later lol.

New Smith Variant Brim for 70$

Not skiing gear but I ordered a Black Diamond harness and prana chalk bag, paid once for it, and the company processed it in their shipping center twice so I got sent 2 for 1.

Purchased brand new 2010 Line Motherships from REI in 2012 for less than $200. Still riding them today, great ski, I don't know why they had such trouble selling them. I don't see why people even give a shit about getting current year gear, it's not like one year's crop of skis is significantly better than another's. Sure, individual models change over time but great skis are made every year, so why pay 30-50% more to get a MY2015 over a MY2014 or even 2013.

mountaingear.com has some sweet deals sometimes. Also, if you look hard enough, you can get some really nice used stuff for almost nothing. I bought a pair of 2010 4frnt VCT turbos for $70, and a pair of 2010 line motherships for $40.

I listened to a sales guy preach to me how good of a deal they had on some 15 Al Dentes today.

$820, I dont think I will be buying anything from there for a while.

pivot 18's brand new - $125

shreditor 102's -$220

and got a pair of brand new orage pants with tags from value village for $20

Well.. i had a insane start of the season

1) Bought new k2 domains with new Marker griffons for 280 euro

2) Won a full peak performance suit worth 900 euro

3) Got a free seasonpass from my employee, 550 euro

4) Got free quest max 130 from my empolyee

5) Got free salomon rocker 2 108 with Salomon guardian bindings

Yeah.. i think i've just hit all the luck for the rest of my life!

Ninthward HHP 150$ brand new (77% off)

Salamon STH 14 100$ brand new (original price 350$)

686 coat 60$ brand new ( original price 200$)

i got a pair of dalbello il moro for 139$ at the turkey sale in whistler. Doesnt look like they have ever been used before

went to the pro sale in SLC not expecting to really purchase anything.

10 minutes later i'm hauling a pair of 192 cm salomon rocker 2 122's with STH 16's back to my dorm.

Geartrade's not so good anymore now that backcountry got rid of their old returns policy :/

STP is good though, and the clymb is sometimes alright (They had factions for like 200 a few weeks ago)

Brand new Full Tilt Booters off eBay for £22, seriously thought they weren't gona ship them.

Jiberish white powder hoody $15 in their sale

K2 domain's £200 and they mounted my bindings for free and free bag (Marker Jester pro 18's £80 off eBay) worked out a pretty cheap set up.

Second hand Line Afterbangs with a few weeks on em with PX12 bindings and poles £65

Ninthward HHP: $150

Seth Morrison Full tilts: $125

Marker Dukes: $100

Marker Griffons: $50

New Saga On Deck: $25 (with shipping after $50 gift card, kinda counts)

New Patagonia Down Jacket (with money hood): $50

Patagucci NanoPuff: $0 (sister got that from the SV lost n found)

All about legit sales and finding killer deals on barely used things

Managed to get liberty morphics for 400 two years ago off the Aussie importer. Pair of Oakley canopy for 60 off a mate brand new and electric EG 2 for 50 off one of my teachers who owns a ski rental shop.

Pro forms are so nice for these things.

I got my 14/15 FT Mary Janes for $200ish.

I got my I/os 6's for $75

I bought my skis a couple years ago for $150 in the middle of February from the ski monster.

Also got a 686 Jacket 3 years ago from Whiskey Militia for $85(Originally in the 180-200 range) - Whiskey has some seriously sick deals. They're mostly snowboarding brands, but they have a ton of goggles usually. Also they have surf and skate stuff if anyone's looking for that.

Bought 2014 Surface One Life's over the summer...they were 50% off so $325, but then I had another 50% off code that only worked on full price skis but somehow worked on the half off One Life's... So I got them for $180 shipped. When I went back a few days later it didn't work any longer so I'd say I got a good deal

I managed to pick up a pair of marker dukes for $30 bucks at the local ski swap last month, hopefully they work.

A pair of filthy riches used for one year for $300 and some used sth 12 drivers for $120

I think that's really cool about on3p actually. It's not unusual to see used ar7's or similar park skis barely sell for $150, but on3p's look like a steal when you get them for sub $450.

Never ridden em, but I have seen them and the factory. Real good testament to the quality of their products and the company itself IMO.

I'll definitely be on the lookout to get a pair, support them, and buy into the hype when I've got the money for it. (or internship this summer plz, I'll work in exchange for a pair of sticks)

i am now forever an on3p customer. they are such insanely durable skis, even for park (except when you get edge dents from hitting the front of rails FML). and not only are they durable, but they're nimble and playful and such fun skis too.

ohnep wins
