I don't want this to be a thread that rich kids are bragging about who much stuff they got or anything, but what's your skiing budget in a year? Ski equipment, Passes, Competitions, coaching, camps? Stuff like that please don;t make this a thread for snobs, and remember some people don;t have mommy and daddy help them out. Like Me

THC is 'conincidently' the name of the drug in Marijuana... And the designers of the skis 'conincindently' smoke so much weed

I bought my dynastar concepts for $300 they were the first new pair of skis I ever bought then I bought a pass to Mt. Rose then got sponsored by Kirkwood mountain. before that I poached ski mountains and clipped tickets.

Is that in Canadian cash or something? Because 900 bucks is a lot to dish out for a season pass...

Anyway, this is my paltry budget for last year...

New skis/bindings: $550

Poles: $20

Jacket/Goggles/Pants: $200

Summer camp: $1500

Season pass: $200

Random other tickets: $300

Comp. entry fees: $20 (haha)

What's that all, $2790 or something like that? Christ.... I spent more than I thought!

oh shit um...

blue mountian pass - $450 (parents)

tremblant pass - $200

skis - $300

US Open - $700 or so

Pro Challenge - $150

Grail - $350

Whistler for a weekend - $400 (parents)

local competitions - $150 or so

so that's a total of like = $2700 plus partying money for all the weekends that wern't included in the above.

I need new boots, skis, jacket, pants, and goggles, but can't at the moment 'cause of the fact of me being poor... but getting hooked up for most that stuff, so it's all good.

im not going to say how much i spend on skiing, racing is way to expensive, with all the coaching fees and the trips, i hate having my parents pay for it all cuase it puts them in the hole, but there is now way i could afford it

last year was my big year when i got all new skis, bindings, poles, boots, helmet, and jacket.and every single cent came out of my pocket.

Boots- $400

Poles- $Rentals

Season Pass- $Work at the resort

Outerwear- $Park Jacket/Used from here

Gas- $ A LOT OF MONEY!

i just buy a pass to both my local mountains, and i just wear like 5 layers of thermals and a tall tee over that. if i need new snowpants i just hit up tj max and get some dope spyder pants for like 75 bucks every other year.
so i spend like 500 bucks... i make enough money to buy all new gear every year, but there is just no god damn point.

Did a quick inventory one day and figured at retail I would have about $30,000 worth of sports gear between skiing, biking and kayaking.

I'm just going to budget what I spent this year... it's really different every year.

Season pass to Cascade Mountain: $5

New skis/bindings: $0

New boots: $300

Trip to Tahoe: probably about $900

Other random lift tickets: $50

Comp entry: $50

I've always wanted to look at this, cuz it felt like I bought a ton of stuff last season but I'm not sure how much I spent. Fortunately, my dad got me my colorado pass for my birthday, so I don't have to add that in. Here it goes:

Helmet - $110

Goggles - $60

Jacket/Pants - $250

Socks - $20

Boots - $400

Poles - $10

Skis/Bindings - $350

Hoodie - $40

Total - $1240. Seems like a lot, but I guess it isn't terrible compared to some people on here :)
