no, it wont stop anyone at all, but if you read that article, it says theyre going to use your ISP's to mail you fines and gay shit, and theyre saying that copying a cd onto your comp will always be illegal
 
oh Canada you're so silly... the whole digital music issue is a hot topic that will someday be resolved, its just gonna take a while. i did a project on it last semester and there are some cool new programs being started for legal buying/downloading music, it will be interesting to see what happens in the future.
 
I've got new for you people. Smoking weed is illegal too. People still do it, the only ones who go to jail are people who are distributing, running grow ups, etc. The law is for major offenders mainly, cops aren't going to start going door to door in your neighbourhood looking for the 2000 songs you downloaded illlegally. On paper it sucks, but similar type laws have been in place in the US for years and it hasn't really stopped people.
 
No its not that hard to track them at all. Usually downloaders don't get fucked, it's uploaders. Either way, the only safe way to download is behind a proxy.
 
conservatives are a minority. Libs and NDP will be so pissed that theyve completely shut down any credibility the carbon tax proposition had that theyll probably unite to vote thsi down. I wouldnt worry.
