The Colbert Robert

i think that as the show progresses, Colbert will work out the kinks and eliminate boring sections (like "The Word") and begin to stick to what he does best, which is A)interviews, and B)ridiculous shit. i give it a B/B- so far. it will get better, i think, but it will take a little while to see what works and what doesn't.

either way, it's no Daily Show.

I like The Word too but I think the meet the district interviews are best. Colbert deserves his own show and I think it will be around for as long as he wants it to. If Comedy Central drops that I'll cry because they play mainly crap now (i.e. MadTV, The Sweetest Thing (twice a day), and Blue Collar something).

The word is either really clever or ridiculous and sort of embarrassing... I think Colbert is hilarious, he's just not doing the same kind of show as Jon is, it's a more direct kind of satire... the "I'm going to act like an extreme version of Bill O'reilly". It is, on occasion, hilarious, but not as often as Jon Stewart is. However, he just started. Give him time. The Daily Show took a while to really hit its stride, too.

pretty funny, but he should've stayed on the daily show. same with all the other original reporters that left to try bigger things.

its the funniest shit ever. just got done watching it like an hour ago and man...his interviews are the best. especially with the district people. he doesnt even try to look serious which i love

not a fan of the colbert report. he was much better on the daily show. having his own show makes me kinda sick of him, whereas on the daily show when he was only on for maybe 5-10 minutes per episode, he was muuuch better.

he's fucking hilarious. not better than the daily show, just different. i think it'll be a hit once people realize his sense of humor. also, he never so much as cracks a smile, no matter what.

that show has its moments. the word is usually pretty good but besides that it isn't my favorite. i would rather watch the daily show.

i have liked it so far colbert is hilarious, but i don't know how far the show will really go. like someone else said, it's quality and far better than half the shit they play on that channel. but i don't know if people are really latching onto it?

the more I watch it, the more I like it. The Word is definately one of the best parts. I wish he would bring back "Today in God"

both he and jon stewart have such a canadian style about the show and the comedy (see air farce or this hour has 22 minutes from years and years before their time), both fantastic shows and hilarious comedians. Stephen is still a little nervous i think and not quite in his own yet but he will be.

I dont get to watch TV very often but I thought it was pretty damn funny. I loved when he was interviewing the gay congressman and he was acting ablivious to the fact that he was gay. He's like, "Would your wife like it if you lost a little weight?"

I think that was on The Daily Show, that was one of the best parts for sure. I remember one time he did a part on some holy war and said the victorious group of people won because "their god was real."

he is funny yes but he doesn't exactly have a broad sense of humor. he also isn't as quick as jon stewert. the name and phony airs of arrogancy are not funny at all. they appeal especially to the most nerdy anti-social naiive stuck up jewish kids i have ever met. in conclusion: colbert is a fag and mildly funny, but not enough to have his own show and only able to achieve the copious number of viewers because of the relitive ignorance of our country.

colbert is hilarious. The best part is at the beginning before the word where he is just talking. different kind of humor than JS but can be just as funny.

yea i wish steve carell stayed there too...........................

this show is amazing...who said the word is boring?!?!? are you retarded?

meh, not a big fan. He's alright but I think he was better on The Daily show. His personality is more of a novelty character and having him for a whole show gets kinda old and annoying. Like he's funny if he has a segment here and there, but half an hour of it and I get bored.

I don't like his guest interviews either. It seems like its all about him trying to be funny and make jokes, while he keeps cutting off the guest. They never get to say anything cuz Colbert always has to bring it back to him and make another only mildly funny joke. I find him too dominating. Often I'm interested in what the guest has to say but you never get to hear it.....

I think it's kind of weird, but it's funny as hell. I love the word. That show is just good entertainment
