ughhh I don't find the flying spaghetti monster thing amusing at all. I'm not super religious but cmon atheists no need to be dicks.
 
First of all, it is not just Atheists. Atheism is the refusal to believe that any divine power created everything. Pastafarianism is also a religion for the Agnostics; that is, those who believe the exact morals and teachings of organized religions are bogus, but do not simply deny the possibilty of a creator, a maker, a modeler.

Sure, the religion was created as mockery of organized religion. It weilds no less proof than Christianity, Judism, or any other popular faith. It is simply comparing Apples to Apples.

That being said, if you even KNEW the eight I'd Really Rather You Didn'ts, you would know that it CLEARLY states that you should not hate on one's own path of faith, regardless if he/she has been touched by his noodly appendages.

Pastafarianism is not a serious belief, but a reminder to be exellent to each other. It is a belief based on righteous virtue and tolerence.

Well said, brother Slandis. We and His Noodly Goodness understand that there are other things easier to believe than an invisible flying spaghetti monster that created everything and everyone when he had drank too much.
 
please, lets not beat around the bush. its mocking religion, saying its no less of a stretch to believe in a flying spaghetti monster than it is God. which is fucking retarded. Also agnostics are simply people that refuse to believe/deny in a higher power. they dont hate the teachings of religion, in fact most agnostics admire the values that many religions have. the flying spaghetti monster thing isnt really for agnostics, since they arent out to mock religion/faith.

I don't think you understand the aim of Bobby Henderson. He was fed up when Intelligent Design (Creationism basically) was being taught over Evolution as a scientific reason for our way of being here. It's not a mockery of Religion, it's a satirical criticism of Religious groups who think that their beliefs should be applied at reinforced in all aspects of society.

He didn't ruin anything, he's just misinformed. He is a convert awaiting redemption! Do not preach to him, as this is clearly subject to the eight "I'd really rather you didn'ts". Merely allow the unbeliever to understand the warmth of His noodlyness, to become closer to Him.
 
Why? What proof do you have that his Noodliness does not bestow his blessings upon us? Why should I believe anything contrary since there is no proof denying his noodly presence?

and for the record tons of things about christians and muslims piss me off. but I think its bullshit that you can say this stupidity is as plausible as faith in god. if the christian right really pisses you off that much, just think of all the shitty, crass, raunchy programs we have on national tv, which is proof that no one gives a shit what the christian right thinks.

Who said agnostics don't admire the teachings of organized religion? I, for one, value the righteous morals behind them. As it was stated above me, it mocks those who push mass belief onto people, not those who have chosen a path for themselves.

Everybody has their own belief and reason, and it is rad for those to find a path in life that satisfies their curiosity and serves as a basis for their life decisions.

I just discovered Pastafarianism, and every one of its teachings and morals are exactly the same as the ones I have always believed in. Its not my religion, for I have no religion, but I support any set of values as unbiased and just as the Pastafarian "belief".
 
Bud, I've been around. Around the eastern world and from a fully die hard catholic point of view I've gathered these ideas. From japan to turkey, they all exhibit the same things in monotheism. All it really is, is a mountain and we're all going to the same peak, and the only real mistake is staying a base camp and missing the view and lines down from the top. FSM is a way to include those who can't identify with many others because of their set group is so retarded cause they're forcing their fucking beliefs into civil laws upon 2000+year old text which were instated because they had to find a way to to survive 40 goddamn years in the Sinai desert.
