I think this is a sick band, pretty much single-handedly brought back street-punk. Their sick live too.

I cant link stuff- www.thecasualties.net somebody link that for me.

Before 1954, when the United States was in the middle of the Cold War, the pledge did not include a reference to God. In adding it, members of Congress said they wanted to set the United States apart from 'godless communists.'

i dont know, i like half the stuff the Casualties stuff, but the other half i really dislike. About bringing back street punk...have you heard the bands out of the boston scene from the last decade? The Unseen, A Global Threat, Toxic Narcotic, etc. Those are real street punk bands, keeping the spirit alive.

ps, i love your icon

So have The Unseen/A Global Threat. I'm not disagreeing in the fact that in the early 90s the Casualties were a driving force in street punk, but giving them credit for street punk itself is a bit much

Yeah, casualties rock. Most people don't like them, but whatever, I guess street punk is an aquired taste.

...No, it's J.F. Cusson.

i like em, jorge's a crazy drunken south american too

If you ever catch on fire, don't look in the mirror, cause I bet that would really throw you into a panic!

and many people still seem to not know that the unseen were a bunch of rich kids - making them non street credible. i do have to admit lower class cruxifiction had some spine throttling jams. if anyone wants a real bad ass punk band that will kick your ass every time you put them on: filth. look for the blatz/filth shit split double cd. you might be able to download them if you can look for 'scarred for life' and 'the list'

song of the week to download: 'i lied' by telefon tel aviv

Donnie: First of all, Papa Smurf didn't create Smurfette. Gargamel did. She was sent in as Gargamel's evil spy with the intention of destroying the Smurf village, but the overwhelming goodness of the Smurf way of life transformed her. And as for the whole gang-bang scenario, it just couldn't happen. Smurfs are asexual. They don't even have reproductive organs under those little white pants. That's what's so illogical, you know, about being a Smurf. What's the point of living if you don't have a dick?

I knew that the Unseen were a bunch of rich kids, but seriously...they used to kick ass. They genuinely sound pissed off at society and everything in LCC and STIF?. Leftover Crack and Choking Victim (a different type of street), and squatters and grew up in the fucking gutter. LC is my favorite punk band ever.

choking victim is good. i saw em live a month after 9/11 and the lead singer had a shirt with a picture of the towers falling and above it read, 'fuck world trade'. hahaha they were wicked obnoxious and rockinroll. gg allen was the best shockrocker of all time though.

^CV/LOC arent trying to be 'shock-rock' though. They're just trying to convey a point, and they like to wear stuff to catch your attention (like the 'Shoot the Kids At School' LOC shirts).

My friend has one of their CD's and he seems to really like them.

Peter: When you go on a cruise you need to build up a base tan.

Chris: But I heard that in tanning booths you can get something called Melenoma

Peter: Don't worry son that's just fancy talk for sexified.

What about the Templars, anyone heard of them? I've lost some respect for the Casualties because I've heard that they hire people to do their hair and junk and don't really act like street punks. Of course, this is only stuff i've heard and don't necessarily believe, but it seems to me like they're the Good Charlotte of streetpunk or something. Anyway, I still have to love them because my cousin's the drummer!

FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT TO SKANK!

Emo kids don't cry because they're sad all the time, they cry because they have to listen to that horrible music all the time. I'd cry if i had to listen to that whiny music over and over and over....wouldn't you?

(I'm in a band, go to purevolume.com and check out East Coast Skank. Our recording sucks, but bear with it...)

Toxic Narcotic scares me, and I think they're skinheads. My friend thought he heard something about killing black people, but we were blazed.
