THE CANYONS ! # 2

Is going off right now. Their jump line in RESPECT park is super legit and really fun. All the jibs are awesome and everything is maintained so well. There is always at least 4 park guys in each of their parks at all times. All the lips to all the rails and boxes have been maintained perfectly all season. Even with the hot weather the canyons has been able to maintain super legit size jumps AND landings. the speed varies with the hot weather but like anywhere if you can adapt and figure it out you're set. They've really stepped up their game this year and it's shown. They are so stoked on input from the athletes and are always looking for ways to improve what's going on. I love shredding there becasue it feels like they actually give a shit about their park and US. On top of the park they have epic pow, something other park city mountains dont supply.

jumps line is pretty small. First jump is small, second stepover is fun, 3rd jump speed blows and its flat.
bottom line step down is super fun, but the 2nd jump? its small... like 35-40 ft, but you have to go 200 mph into it to hit the landing, which is super flat... I dunno that jump seems like a waste. I think it'd be cool to just cut that thing down and put a jib line all the way down.

the very bottom jump is awesome! its gotta be longer than 35 40 to the sweet spot, especially when you can take it so far past that safely. its super long, but not poppy. the step down to step up or over or whatever that is is absolutely amazing IMO

im going to the canyons for the last week of march. im pumped!!! i cant wait to check out the respect park. hows the snow there? any good pow lately?

Just got off the mtn. A very much needed powder day. They claimed 10" but it was significantly deeper up top. Good face shots and tons o' fun. Weeeeeeee! Plus the joint was EMPTY so we skied our asses off.

snow out the BC gate off 9990 has been pretty good the past two days too. luckily avi danger is pretty low.

Their rails are alot of fun. Their boxes for the most part are too wide. Their jump have flatter landings than when Park City gets neglected.

agree about the boxes... really think your wrong about the landings... rode there the last 3 days and they seem fine to me... maybe one has too flat of a landing... but whatev.... oh and i have good vibes about the end of march snow status

the step down has one of the flattest landings I have ever seen. The last jump in the little park and the 1st jump in upper respect weren't too steep either..but they were manageable.

I agree with Josh, the landings in kings when it was in the neglected phase were about what the landings in canyons are from what Ive seen. I also dont like how their jumps arent poppy, they shoot a whole lot of out and not too much up.

The Canyons has some really tight rails set up...they have a really nice variety. They even had a quad-kinker set up...super fun! However, their jumps SUCK. Kings Crown with flat landings is better than the wack jumps that the Can has set up. Speed for the Can's jumps is whack, and pretty much all of the jumps in the big park throw you weird, and have narrow takeoffs. I am digging the Can's park, but I will definitely stick to PC for jumps. The Canyons is kinda like Brighton with good lips onto all of the rails.
