this movie ranks among requiem for a dream, pi, kids, and even donnie darko. Simply put, one of the best movies i have seen in a LONG time. Ashton kutcher can actually act, and he does it very well, and all the other characters except thumper, seem to have a lot of fun switching their personalities. such a bomb movie, and i thought it was a very open movie, it could have been a lotta things, but never goes in detail about which theory is right or wrong.

I like my women, like i like my coffee. Grinded up and put in the freezer.

just watched it, then I sat in my couch for almost half an hour just thinking. I am seriosly stunned by it. whoa, when everything came clear when he was holding the knife for the 2nd time, and you understood that his blackouts as a kid was caused by his timetravels as an adult...man...I love these kind of films....im almost shivering. if you havent watched this film, watch it, now.

Jacob_W...absolutely. i was going to type almost the same exact response. i loved this movie. definately a 'thinker movie' fan. what i can't seem to understand though, is why so many people don't like it. i'm pretty sure this is the movie that was hyped up and then at the premiere it got boo'ed. i guess people hated it. maybe it was too in depth for some people...probably the ones that expected to see Kutcher do some kind of comedy like he's known for. i'd like to see him in more of this type.

yea, that movie is really, really good. i watched it last nite (for the second time)

that was an amazing movie and i'm sure it surprised a lot of people to know ashton kutcher can actually act. but in all seriousness, very well written they did a good job

Yeah... Butterfly Effect was sick! For those of you who like movies like this one, check out the aforementioned Mulholland Drive and my personal favorite, 'Dancer in the Dark' with Bjork. Off the chain... I promise.

I thought it was a good movie, but in a sorta weird way I thought it was repetitive b/c he like 20 differnet lives, it just kept going from one to another, I dunno. In the end it was a good movie, kind of wierd when he burns the dog in the bag.

 
yeha i loved that movie. when he slammed his hands down on the paper things to get out of prison i jumped haha. but yeah its a really twisted and excellent movie

The only people that hate movies like The Butterfly Effect and Donnie Darko are the people that do not understand them. One must be of certain intelligence level to understand it to a level where they realize its a fucking sick ass movie

it was a good movie. a bit freaky at some points but good none the less.

I liked it but I was a little dissapointed it didnt show the chaos theory on a bigger level.

i watched it again tonight. what i dont get is when he slams his hands on the paper holder things, why that doesnt cause some huge chain of events. i probably just missed where it explains but can anybody help? great movie though
