The Bugatti Veyron is a shitmobile

uh, its not all that better...

Acceleration 0-62mph: 2.5sec

Top speed 253mph

for the veyron....the acceleration from 0 to 60 on the one above was about the same, granted its to 60. so yeah, not really.

Overall, the Bugatti is pretty much the best car you can buy. Its amazing. Not only is it the most expensive, but its the most powerful, most luxurious and most outrageous thing ever built to drive on a road. Its a supercar on steroids.

I respect the Ultima GTR's times, of course. Its impressive, sure. But the Ultima was built purposefully to break those records. Its like the chef in a chili cook off who nobody knows, runs a small stand, but makes chili that tastes a little better than all the rest. Thats what the Ultima is like. The Veyron... well, its the steaminf product of a large group of insane chefs, who dont know what to call it, or how to keep it from eating through the bottom of a chili bowl. The Veyron is so radical and extreme that it simply is the best car, performance and stats be damned. Nobody has ever created a car like this, not even Mclaren, and its doubtfull in the future with rising gas prices and the shift towards economical and sensible cars, that we'll ever see another car like the Veyron. Thats why I believe that the Veyron is the best car in the world.

How in the hell can u say the veyron is ugly???

i would still rather have this over any of those two..

i mean ok..its not as fast, but it still looks a LOT better then those two.

The Veryon is the nexus of luxury, preformance, drivability and enginering. Im sure you could make a Supra hit the same numbers as a bugatti if you modded it enough, but the point is the overall impression of the car. The Veyron is simutaniously exotic and sexy while remaining classic and strong. It will be a long time (if ever) before anything comes along that can compete on all levels.

I am in the same boat as Jeremy Clarkson, this might be the greatest automobile ever produced, the Concorde of the road; the crest of the wave just before it breaks and rolls back.

the bugatti is better in almost every way, it looks better, it would be way cooler to have, because in the future its probably gonna be the most saught after car, and its better to drive, i can guarantee that the bugatti is quieter and more comfortable

in my city the guy who invented the yellow pages, well i think his son, hes got a bugatti and its fucking amazing. its black with a white stripe down the middle. 1.3 million bucks, 1001 HP.

Hahaha, nooooo it doesnt. The Exige might outturn them, but thats about all lotus has on Ferrari and Porche.

i beg to differ.

the mclaren f1 didnt set out to break any records, that wasnt its mission, unlike the bugatti. the mclaren was meant to be the ultimate driver's car, and it just happened to be the fastest production road car as a bi-product.

what sets the mclaren apart in my mind is how its almost as old as me, though it still competes with todays supercars, it held its speed and acceleration records much longer than any new car will, and in my opinion the best looking car on the road.

sure the bugatti is nice and all, but id much rather own a mclaren

If i had a bugatti, you had a mclaren, we met at the line, I could let you get to 120mph, from 0 i would beat you to 200.

A bugatti supposedly handles like a lotus, the mclaren's backend was skitish and unstable.

probably, but the idea of the bugatti is to go fast as shit - hence the nose of the car that drops an inch or so at high speeds..

as for the guy who said that modding out any car could make it as fast as a veyron, i seriously doubt that - to go at such high speeds and not fly off the road like that one car a Le Mans, the aerodynamics have to be extremely well engineered...sure you could do it, but it wouldnt be the base car you started out with anymore.

I also beg to differ. McLauren might have set out to create the ultimate driving car, true, but what they arrived at was far from it. F1's were always unpredictable and somewhat of a beast to handle, as the tail on the car was highly unstable in a turn. Both Tiff Needles and Jeremy Clarkson agree on this, and it was a problem that Mclauren never found a way to fix. But true, they went into making that car with the intention of the ultimate driving machine. I cant argue with that, and in fact I agree.

But what the people from Bugatti and Volkswagen have done is pushed the idea of what a car can be further than anyone has ever dared. Sure, the Mclauren was designed for drivers, as a practical car for the superrich who have everything. But the Veyron is different. Its purpose was the challenge everything that had ever been expected of a car. It wasnt made to be sold, and the project took 5 years to develop a prototype. Everything about this car is completely insane, right down to the magnesium/titanium alloy metals they used in the interior. It wasnt built for, well, anyone. It has no market, no specific class that it caters to. Its just completely insane. While Mclauren did set out to make the ultimate driving car, and somewhat succeded, Bugatti instead built the Veyron with the intent to make just the most incredible car ever built. They didnt make it for anyone, and when they do sell a Veyron, it actually costs Volkswagen a ton of money. Thats why, in my humble opinion, there has never been a car like the Veyron, and there probably never will be for our generation. That is why I believe the Veyron is simply the best car.

First of all, I dunno what engine that Ultima has in it, but I remember some guy brought one to the 'Sport Compact Car' - 'Ultimate Street Car Challenge' that had a BMW V12 in it, but broke a shift linkage or something so it didn't fare too well. But anyway... I'm going to go ahead and say that the Veyron is the most gorgeous and amazing car ever made, with the Mclaren and a few others pulling a close 2nd place, and it's not to say that the F1 GTR or the other supercars are at all bad cars, they're just inferior to the Bugatti in nearly everyway, I will say though that the Bugatti is EXTREMELY HEAVY by supercar standards, and that is doesn't handle as well as some others, like the Mclaren, but it's still an amazing peice of engineering. Vipers are shit cars though, don't handle for shit and are complete beasts in everyway, not refined at all.

Dude......if you did not notice, that is a Kit car. You have to build it in your garage, your self. This is not a production car. The Bugatti is a PRODUCTION car made by Volkwagan. It is the fastest PRODUCTION car in the world. All it says on the site is 0-100 acceleration, it says nothing about top speed. The Bugatti is soo fast, that Michellin had to create a completely new tire for this car. It is the only production car to reach over 400 KPH.

Top speed is 253 mph. It has three modes. Driving mode, handling mode, and top speed mode. If you're in driving mode and go over a certain speed it automatically shifts into handling mode, which mean as you're driving it lowers itself and the spoiler comes out to a certain angle. When you get goin even faster the spoiler automatically adjusts and creates more downforce. To get into top speed mode. You have to put the car in park and use a seperate key to switch to top speed mode. The car then lowers itself more and sets the spoiler at a certain degree. If you brake too excessively or turn the wheel to a certain degree the car automatically reverts back to handling mode.

The new Porsche GT1 will give the Veyron a run for its money since it is supposed to be 950hp and wont weigh as much as an elephant like the veyron. The Ultima is just a glorified kit car. I saw a Veyron in person and the car is the most amazing machine you will ever see. The interior is unbelievable. I remember on TV seeing something about how the windshield wiper lever was machined from a solid block of magnesium and costs about 30K just for that one piece. The car costs close to 4million to build and they sell them for 1.3.

That was pretty sick considering the Bugatti has twice as many cylinders as that thing and its wayyy more exoensive. And this is better looking too.
