oh hi!

09 328xi with ZPP, ZSP, ZCW, CSL wheels, Shadowline trim, xenons, m3 trunk lip, painted reflectors. Next is LCI Splitters, brushed steel interior trim and a gloss black roof.

The two are incredibly similar in external appearance. There are people that don't like the 1 series look, which i get, but its pretty rare to find the 1M attractive and the 135 ugly because they are so similar. Personally, I much prefer it to the 335. It has the same turbocharged engine that puts out identical horsepower but in a smaller and lighter frame giving it greater acceleration and a more torquey feel. The better power to weight ratio has spoiled me and now whenever I'm in a 3 series I find it sluggish.

I also like it because it seems like its more of a cult car. You can walk outside, throw a rock, and hit a three series. This isn't a BAD thing i guess, I mean they're popular and dependable cars. But the 1 series is much less widespread. Everyone I meet who has one seems to be a pretty big BMW enthusiast, not someone who just wants a car with a BMW badge.

Smaller, faster, sexier, more unique. Thats why i went with the 1.

I also find the 1M good looking, and the 1series not appealing at all. Where i live it´s one of the most common bmw´s, so the cult thing doesn´t really apply here. Just don´t like the looks of it, especially the newer ones.

Clearly everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I dont happen to find the coupes and verts from the mid 80s and early 90s particularly attractive (too boxy for my taste) but to each their own.

Do you live in the United States? Forgive me for asking, its just that your opinion makes me think you might be in Europe where the 1 is much more widespread. In the US there is just the E82 and 88 (vert). Pretty sure the first year it was available in North America was 2008 so its pretty novel. I dont know anywhere in the US where the 3series doesnt outnumber the 1series by a factor of at least 20. Also, you're obviously a BMW fan but for 90% of other people, I dont think they could tell the difference between the 1M and the 135i without looking at the badge. You're acting like they are vastly different styles of car which theyre not. I just dont get how, if you like the way the 1M looks you could be so turned off by the 135.

dont be throwing rocks at my e90! ha. I think BMW culture in general is very cult like regardless of the car. BMW guys like every bmw. Not sure that can be said about other car company enthusiasts. I dont think a honda civic groups praises a ridgeline. It could be because bmw doesnt make minivans or trucks.

Love the black on red 135i man, get yourself JB4 on that and an intake and you'll be close to 400hp.

Yeah to each his own, the 1M just does it for me because it's a little more aggressive looking.

I'm also partial because I drive an e92 M3, granted it is a 3 series it's not your run of the mill 335

ok.. you got me there with the GT cars.. no idea why those are so popular in EU. The X6 though.. Ill take an X6M, drop it 3 inches and call it a day. those things are soo mean when they come flying up behind you. Something with 500hp thats the size of a tank is just awesome.

Yeah i live in Europe, so i guess they´re more common. When i said the 1series i was referring to the hatchback, not the coupe. Over here you can get the 1series in 120i, 125i, 130i and 135i, didn´t you one got the 135i as a coupe in the states.

The F20 is the one i really don´t like. The front looks just looks weird on the hatchback to me. The older ones, like the e87/e88 was better looking. The front sort of matched the rest of the body, but i think they made the front of the F20 too "big". I don´t know, it might grow on me. The older 1series´did.

f20s are terrible! but like all newer BMWs, they grow on ya. once people mod them, slap front lips on them and space the wheels out, they become tolerable.

so far so good. I ran the stock all season run flats last year and will this year since there is tread left. It works great and the xdrive makes it handle well. Im sure on snow tires it will be even better than my e46 xi i had.

x2 love these hatchs and the older hatchs...they are all over europe dont understand why theyre not sold in NA...

read that story as well, watched the top gear episode 1 series wagon vs r32 (r32 won obviously haha)

there are SO MANY cars that the euros/everyone else on the god damn planet gets that are so sick. RS4 avant? manual 4 door r32, audi wagons in general, better spec'ed vehicles, nicer goddamn DOMESTIC cars..... focus st? more variants of the sti/wrx?

north america blows

All blacks not that bad just weird shape haha, I saw a m3 yesterday with red in the logo instead of the blue, with red leather interior , murdered out everything else. Probably the sickest Beamer I've seen in person! Also who loves the look of the z3 coupe?

The 1M is an amazing car. It's really more of what the M3 used to be before it grew into a 5 series. Bravo BMW for building that car.

HA. yeah. 'fun' is about the last thing i'd associate a 5 gt with..

capable yes, but fun? never..

well I guess you're right. coming from a kid who drives a suburban they're fun. My dad is looking at the 650 Gran Coupe M Sport.

nope not that one, its more of the bigger verison of it, kinda like the x5-x6 look, more of a family looking rich moms prosche car

the panamera is a CAR.. the cayenne is the SUV... Basically its a rebadges Q7 which is a rebadged Toureg..gotta love VAG for that.

X3 is featured in Top Gear's Worst Car of All Time episode. James May: "It's a bit like going out with a 2/3 scale Dolly Parton and expecting her to be just as comfortable to rest your head on" lol

Every time I try to embed videos I fail, but if you want to see a ridiculous bmw, search g power m3, twin supercharged :)

The refreshed X5's are the best looking SUV on the market and one of the best looking cars. Every time I see them it makes me wanttttt one bad.

Anyone wanna buy a mint Delphine Grey E30? Switching it up and hopefully getting to a E34 this weekend!
