The "BMW" thread.

My Dad just imported one of these to Canada. Faster than any of your little sports cars anyways.

Not quite. The Rolls Royce company basically lets BMW license the name to use on cars. The Rolls Royce corporation that does propulsion systems is its own entity separate from BMW.

Dont personally have one, but my dad has had a whole collection.. Started with a 2002tii, then ended up with a e30 325is, after that and having kids he purchased a 525 wagon (96 I think), then transitioned into a 325xi wagon, and now rolls in a 550xi. Pretty good history, he just wishes he still has the 2002tii

I have a white 2011 328i manual transmission and i'm in love with it.

i haven't taken any pictures of it so heres one from the internet..

Notice i said almost? I know MB makes great cars with great engines that produce great numbers, nut a lot of their cars just look like they were made for old people. I don´t really know what does it.

But pretty much every car that comes from the AMG guys are awesome though! But i´d still prefer a bimmer.

I think the BMWs look too curvy. The immediate past 5 series and 7 series were funky looking. The Current ones are significantly better. But I still prefer the Benz styling. To each his own I suppose.

To The op you didn't buy your BMW your parents bought your BMW, Also if you're under the age of 25 and you have a BMW I probably don't like you that's just based off exspreance.

id take the black edition any day. the current m3 is a sell out. id take an e30 m3 over the current as well, wouldnt even think twice.

Love BMWs. Although, I am not a fan of a few of their newer models...... the newest X3 being one of their worst.. Thoughts?

I actually don't think the X3 is too bad. Sort of "chick-car" looking, but I'm pretty sure you can option it out with the 335i engine and turn it into a mini SUV rocket ship with a few parts and a tune.

Yeah-- don't mind the X3 at all (although im a girl). Definitely prefer the X5, but the X3 is a good option for someone who doesn't need a huge SUV and it's definitely a more affordable price point. I think they're good looking, it's just that they're inferior in looks and everything else to the X5, so by comparison they aren't as great.

That "chick" look is really the reason I don't like it. As well as the larger back end.

300 hp in it would definitely be fun.

I really can´t stand the 1series and the x1. The only model of their 1 line that actually looks good in my eyes is the 1m/1series coupe.
