What do you guys think about it?
Personally I think its pretty good compared to all the other rap coming out right now. Its obviously not as good as the original but I think some of the tracks are decent.

i like it a lot. all the tracks are "fresh"

onto the next one and already home are my favourites

It's pretty good. There are some sick tracks but the many remixes (Death of Autotune) make it seem like Jay-Z tried to fill the CD up with too much filler.

It happens.. he's a smart business man if you think about it. guests on songs sell albums as well. If you like the guest rappers on his tracks, you'll buy the album. its broadens his demographic to include people that ordinarily would not buy just a Jay-z album. WIth this they get drake, kanye, wayne, rhianna, etc..

*sigh

Those remixes aren't on the actual album. These are the songs on the actual album and the ones you should be listening to and analyzing if you want to discuss the album as a whole.

1. "What We Talkin' About"

2. "Thank You"

3. "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)"

4. "Run This Town"

5. "Empire State of Mind" (featuring Alicia Keys)

6. "Real as It Gets" (featuring Young Jeezy)

7. "On to the Next One" (featuring Swizz Beatz)

8. "Off That" (featuring Drake)

9. "A Star Is Born" (featuring J. Cole)

10. "Venus vs. Mars"

11. "Already Home" (featuring Kid Cudi)

12. "Hate" (featuring Kanye West)

13. "Reminder"

14. "So Ambitious" (featuring Pharrell)

15. "Young Forever" (featuring Mr Hudson)

On To The Next One is a pile of crap.

I don't like the album,

but there are a few good songs ( Empire State of Mind, the track with Cudi even though I don't like Cudi)

Jay-Z is talented, I don't like the direction he's taking production and style wise. Let's not forget he's getting old too, he's not the rapper he was back when Reasonable Doubt, Blueprint and his other classics came out.

Good album. Some songs are alright but theres a few on there that while listening to I was like damn that sounds good. Empire State of Mind, Already Home, Forever Young, Run this town were all good. Production was top notch. Just didn't like some of the guest experiences and his rhymes were alright, nothing special. But still I think its pretty damn good.
