Their new album is out - El CaminoIt's pretty god damn amazing, you know if you're into that king of thing.

Good band. Saw them at moe.down last year and maybe once before then. They really took off this year I guess.

Def have some solid songs. I don't really listen to them a ton though but they're good.
 
if I was the drummer in that band i would fucking kill myself.

he plays the same fucking thing the whole song in every song (that ive heard on the radio).

does he have brain damage or something? or do they not have a dummer and used fakes instead?
 
uh, he's a fucking machine that's what.

also the black keys are amazing, I've had el camino on repeat for a few weeks now, can't get enough
 
Um, no. Also I'd rather here somebody go with a simpler beat than fix the song than people that over use fills because they feel they need them. I think the latter is much worse.
 
SIMPLE DOESNT EVEN BEGIN TO DESCRIBE HIS SHITTY DRUMMING.

THEY LITERALLY DON'T EVEN NEED HIM. THERE IS MORE COMPLEXITY IN MOST HIP HOP BEATS.
 
Your argument isn't a very good one. You don't need complexity to have a drum part work.

Look at meg white. Nothing complex about it but it fits.
 
they took of last year ide say. in every commercial and movie that came out it was stupid.

and the show in TO sold out so fast.

this year theyre just fucking superstars and the worst concert tickets are $70 +fees so fuck them.

amazing music though
 
Pretty crazy. I mean damn, like 2 years ago they were playing small venues all over.

moe.down got them right as they were blowing up.
 
I am form Michigan, but we lived in Akron and Cleveland for awhile, so they were a local band for us. Then we moved to Salt Lake and they just exploded it. IT was awesome. I doubt I would have picked up guitar if I hadn't heard their music....and I now I play professionally, and I'm not out of High School. They're like.... inspirational for me.
 
yeah i fucking had tickets to see them in toronto 2 summers ago at a place that only holds a few thousand... but i was fucking sick. was a real bummer
 
i've loved them since i heard them on the black snake moan soundtrack. and i also love little black submarines. i just picked up their two latest albums and it makes me happy. they're such a solid band. and i just realized tickets went on sale for their show saturday. brb.
 
Simplicity is there music. What would the White Stripes be without the simple, childish drumming of Meg White.. They make music the way they want, and that works pretty damn well.

When I first heard their sound, I was blown away. Seriously, with The White Stripes gone, this is kinda all we have left.

I love the Black Keys, amazing song writing, amazing music.
