The bird has almost 30 inches

So hyped to ski alta tomorrow, PC was just a small tease at what alta is gonna be like.

brighton was nonstop today, little avalanches in the trees, it was ridiculous amounts of fun today supposed to get another 1 to 2 feet tonight. i am like trapped in my house right now it retarded ha

Deepest snow I've ever skied was at PC today. Whiterooming almost every other turn. LCC is gonna be insane tomorrow.

dude i dont know what you're talking about, maybe you rode at alta but the bird was sick, i got 2 freshy runs down little cloud before there was even a line, before that got a tram lap before the line got shitty and if you just manned up and took peruvian then hiked baldy from there you could've got sick ass freshies. there were also untouched runs just the other side of tower 3 untouched till like 2... /claim

i guess i'm just jaded since i haven't missed a pow day at the bird all season and this may not have been top 5, and certainly wasn't even top 2 in the last week, which is even worse considering the season we've had. still, i had fun and can't complain since summer skiing is now a definite possibility. check latest vids later for some footage from today.

Got plenty of untouched, but due to heavy snow and the amount of settling, i only sunk about 1-2ft into what was 3-4ft. Still a really sick day (minus supreme not opening).

Well put. It was hard for it not to be a bit of a letdown after seeing that 40" had fallen and yet to be skied, but instead it felt like 6 inches of creamy snow. But I'm also a bit spoiled and have managed to find pretty good snow all year considering the conditions...

Either way it was powder in April so you can't really complain.

you guys can complain all you want about but it was an epic day. how often do you get that much snow and have it be bluebird. first tracks down mid gad and sth gad 2 was unreal today so much fun. no complaints here.

If you want fresh snow don't go to alta/bird. They have the best pow skiing terrain for sure, but try skiing any other utah resort on an epic pow day and it will blow your mind. I would never buy an alta or bird pass again, at least not till I'm an old man and need the rest of a 20 minute lift line.

Yup. I don't miss pow days either. Tuesday was mediocre, granted it was deep, due to nothing remotely steep being open, and Alta/Bird not being open at all. We won't even talk about Wednesday when the sun turned the goods to hot pow. Better pow days last week!

Agree 100%
Snow got real heavy and was heavy enough that impacts re-injured me again. The storm was realllll awesome in the beginning. Thurs and Fri were some of the most fun days I have had. I loved yesterday, but it was a bit hard to find anything that wasn't real baked. Still some north facing stuff if you guys are eager to get some fresh turns. Get out there!
