The binding for seths?

Your thoughts please: I'm like 6 feet and 85kgs andI'm probably gonna be buying the seth in a 179 for everyday riding i.e. some park, some piste but mainly powder and natural hits. I know I don't need a binding with din up to like a million, but my shop offers the Salomon z12 ti smartrack as the only binding option. Is it a good binding? I only ask because people always seem to talk about the 914 or the s916 as the good freeski bindings. The z12 only goes up to 12 which made me think it might not be so good...

Anyone that knows about these things, your view would be greatly appreciated...

The z12 is total crap, i promise the heelpiece will break, the only Salomon binding that isn't crap is the 916. Get a 05-06 or newer rossi or look. 4frnt deadbolt is pretty quality too. Just definitely don't get a salomon unless it is a 916
 
salomon isnt known for their quality bindings.

ive only ever stuck by rossi and look because of that reason. honestly why fix whats not broken? take the tried and true root and saddle up with a pair of dildo bindings.

minus the few times you will land back seat these bindings are bullet proof and are generally awesome bindings.

i suggest the px12 titaniums. i own a pair and love em with passion. for park. stick with p12's and if your light you could get away with p10s even.
 
well u would only want to put it to a max of 10 but i think if ur a ripper and for ur weight it might not be tight enough like im 5'7 125lbs and have my 912s too 10 and sometimes pop out when i dont want too.
 
the reason the salomons are bad isnt because the din only goes up to 12, its because they have some plastic parts that will break easily. i think the 914 is where the salomons get good because they are all metal, but im not sure if its the 914 or 916

the general consensus seems to be not to go with salomon except the 914 or s916, but to opt for rossi/look instead, am i right?
