Well boys and girls...we have a solid six feet of new snow at Boreal as of this minute and another 1-2ft coming tonight.

The parks are gone...the pipe is gone...let the digging begin!

Kidzx will be back up sometime tomorrow.

lower night park will be back up for thursday

49ner rail line..been working on that today and it will be back sometime tomorrow.

49ner double line will be back up on Friday.

superpipe is going to be rebuilt so it will be good well into spring. closed until next weekend

upper night park..wont start on this untill thur/friday. looks like we got enough snow to add more jumps up there.

next on the list is adding the third jump to the line on 49ner. Lost Dutchman chair had a gear box failure and is down until further notice. some of those jibs will make there way to 49ner/accel in the meantime.

It's gona be fast and furious for park crew this next week.

If you guys have any major suggestions..speak up..major park changes are gona be going down.

yeah like OMG atleast add 100ft. on to the 40' or it's not even worth any one's time.
 
Step up jump and an up rail or box with a long jump landing instead of the ground so people can do tenmillion eightys off. WEeEEEEEEEE!!!!!
 
i think a sweet step up jump and an uprail with a good landing is a totally legit thing to ask for.  especially with all this new snow right?  don't disregard him just cuz he said WEEEEE, bro's stoked!
 
^^I give up, sorry i asked for fun park features, keep on keepin on mudflap, boreal's awesomely average, don't change anything!
 
^I take that back, the pipe is very above average, but c'mon how hard is it to make an up rail with a long jump like landing, or a step up for that matter, you just claimed six feet of snow...push it together and build a takeoff for god's sakes.
 
big bear just put in a huge up rail, over a tabletop, to a dope tranny. that is seriosly dope ish, brahhhh bro brahhh
 
i agree and think an uprail with a nice landing is totally possible to put in man..don't even understand how you claimed that not to be legit.

and with all the snow maybe even that stepup is plausible.
 
we have had an up rail on a jump landing for two weeks. If you would venture out of the night park you would know that.

The step will happen on 49ner as promised.

I didn't take those posts seriously because they where f-ing joking around. 140ft jump don't think so...someone wanting a feature to do teneightymillions..don't thing so.

I came on here asking for opinions not joking around.

I guess I won't ask anymore if all this is gonna turn into is another newschooler trash talk thread.

 
alright so here are some things that i think would be fun!!These diagrams were precisely calculated and the lime green is the snow.

flat rail up on a snow platform with the edges cut off:

up box to gap to down box but with a trash can jib in the middle. not to to big of a gap either:

the first jump in the 3 pack of lower night line with an uprail on the side:

and last but certainly not least the cash money booter. the third jump in the 49'er line. resembling the jon olsson invite jump but a lil smaller:

Hey mudflap, I didn't know the step-up had been promised my bad, I guess my wierd kind of humor doesn't come across over the internet very well, but yeah, keep on doing the lord's work out there, the shit is much appreciated.
 
Would it be possible to build a jump where you are really close to the snow the whole time? Kind of like when people do "corked" 180s over the knoll of a jump, but something designed just for that, like a cross between a step-up and a butter pad:

Depending on your speed you could gap the whole thing (but be low enough to drag your hand on the top) or jump up, ski across, and jump down.
 
^yeah, that's what i'm looking for, it's not really a step up so much as a jump where the landing starts higher than the takeoff. That'd be the hot bizniss.
 
why not build a step up, that is 15-20 feet up, and about 40 feet across if that makes sense. so its big but, when you make it to the landing its smooth so you can try some stuff,
 
mudflap I personally think it is cool as shit you are constantly on here up dating your progress in the parks and asking the riders what they think would be cool. I am on the south shore so don't get to the norte side much but if i ever make the move, a pass to boreal is gonna happen, just based on your interactions on this site. keep on doing what your doing and don't get jaded by the NS haters
 
congrats on building the best rail park ever mudflap!!! soooo fun. exspecially the skimack rail. that thing is sooo cool. the new jumps look way fun too. the reconstruction looks like it is going to be real nice. i'm way stoked to see what you guys are gonna have tomorrow cause today was super fun. once agian rail park = cash money for boreal.
 
Stinkypoodangler...I've been away for the computer for awhile. I like all of your calculated SKimatics. You can look forward to just about all of those ideas or something really close.

We got the step up landing built last night. gona look at it today in the light and figure out the take off...the knuckle is as high as the water tank as we hoped for.

gona finish the upper night park today and get started on the stuperditch..take a day or two off and start up mid week on adding more stuff to 49ner.

the 2 big boys are way fun and the stepup looks like it is gonna be a killer also the 2 new jumps and the up flat downer looks like it will enertain a skier for hours.

yeah, your pictures were dope. lime green snow = legit. i wish we could've sessioned Boreal yesterday, though, that sounds like it would've been legit fun.
