The Best Ski of all Time?

Hmmm... K2 Piste Pipe? That's my thought; It's as durable as the PE because it's the same ski, cheaper than Fujatives at this point, certainly innovative in the sense of the binding setup (and hey, it's a tele twin), Graphics are pretty cool...overall, good.

Maybe it'll be this year's Mothership Titanium from what's being said, we'll see.

the old red scratches were badass for their day. i wanted them soooo bad, more so than any other ski ever. i have the green ones, and they are great performance wise, and price wise, but the red ones just looked greater. so assuming the 03 scratch fs performed as well as my 04s do, thats my vote.

^They do, they're exactly the same ski. I find they're a bit too soft to be really versatile all-mountain skis, although they do very well outside the park considering their noodleness... I have to say, they do ski great switch.

i would say dynastar phil pro models but they dont have the durability....im not sure about others cause ive never really looked at others

Most twins have shit durability and shit performance. dumbshit kids today think nothing of getting mommy to buy them new skis once a month so there is no reason for manufacturers to build a durable twin.

anyone ever notice that there're never any complaints for PEs (well, except the first year when some of them liked to break right behind the binding)? good bases, good edges, maybe a little heavier (but that just adds to durability, doesn't it?), no major delaming... i donno, you just never hear about any major problems with them. there're actually a pair of prototype armadas called the AR7 which were the pre-runners for the ARV that Julian and some of the other guys still ride today. they're beat up and all, but the bases still look good (they're race bases) and the edges are still in good shape (i think they're used strictly for backcountry). eh, now i'm just ranting cause i'm at work and trying to look busy so no one gives me any work to do....

Well I'm not sure what the best ski ever would be but.. I have never, EVER, heard one complaint about the 4-Frnt MSP's, from people who ride them, or even on this site. Having 100% positive feedback is pretty amazing if you ask me. Somebody prove me wrong...

I found the width made em a little funky in the bumps and ice, but they were pretty solid in park/pipe, and held their own all-mountain.

But I would have to give the PE's a lot of credit, they were a hell of a ski and other than the weight I never really heard any complaints.

the first orange 1080's without a doubt. i dont know why people r puttin up shit like the fujatives and troublemakers? they might b good skis but not of all time. tanner used to ride pow-airs for fucks sake.

i think the best twin of all time is the orignal 1080 because of the innovation or maybe the first years model of the volkl v's, those things dont break.

Everyone saying 1080s, let's face it, they were crap durability-wise, nothing at all special compared to skis now performance wise, the graphics sucked compared to almost anything going on now, and the price wasn't great. All they had going for them was innovation. There are 5 criteria up there, not one.

well, im gonna say the old orange 1260s were a dope ski. with the exception of durability, that was a pretty crazy ski for its day. amazing graphics, super light, and 100% symetrical.

Public enemys. only 315 for me, they havent had any problems this whole time ive had them, theyve got really sick graphics and they arent very heavy

Im thinkin Mad Trix, I have never heard a complaint about them either. I believe that they are the most durable for all mountain and park.
