The best pro skier out there

good list add Andy Mahre , Pep, and Henrick WIndersted and Tanner and Hugo Harrison to that list and you got the best ski team ever
 
Charles Gagnier, Simon dumont, Eric Pollard, Seth Morrison, Tj Schiller.....and out of all of them Gagnier is the best.
 
i gotta say candide, schiller, maybe even gagnier...i wanna say corey vanular and cedric t.f too but they arent as "mainstream" as the others but their parts in LSS blew me away, basically anyone who pushes it and keeps it fresh instead of doing 10's all day.
 
I have little doubt that Candide is in fact a great big mountain skier (superhuman sense of balance + fundamental mogul skills), but I've never actually seen it.

Is there a ski film that shows him skiing big lines? (I'd really like to see it.)

like rails, T Wall and Vanular are up there

overall, dumont or thall

hugo harrison, just from his youtube clips he just has that something on the big mountains that i dont see anyone else really having. it's just a very clean style and he stomps pretty much any air he hits, after a while i got tired of constant backslapping.
 
Gagnier is a fukin roller blader... he is a sick Jumper and rail slider but he cant ski big mountain to SAVE HIS LIFE.... When people ask who the best skier is it comes down to ripping moguls, Skiing huge big mountain lines and all round ripping skiing in the park and doing 1080s doesnt make yo ua good skier it makes you good at jumping.... end of story soo the majority of jibbers out there not many of them Can ski REAL big mountain , there are expeptions for sure but the majority of the kids from the east coast or alot of other places would keal over and die if you took them to a huge 60 Degree chute in Chamonix with fall and you die exposure... thats real skiing I respect all the stuff that people are throwing down in the park, but to be considered the best PRO SKIER you need to be able to kill everything.. not just do fukin fakie 10s and slide rails 1 footed like a fukin fairy... no direspect to Gangier he is amazing at jumping but all round as a skier I dont think so..
 
Hugo and Seth are the best big mountain skiers of all time, it Scares me how good they are... hugo stomps everything and hits stuff with no hesitation what so ever which is just fukin amazingly difficult to doo. and seth holy shit double fronts of clifs, amazingly huge rodeos and fronts and backs he is fukin insane and he has the most amazing style skiing big mountain soo smooth and his hands all low and steezy not many people have that mogul like smooth hands style soo sick..
 
Candide , Jon and Henrick have all won big mountain, slopestyle,half pipe comps and HEnrick has won skier x, Big moutnain, pipe, big air, rail, Skier X, was a junior national Alpine team member , and then Junior world champ for moguls I think that is dominating all facits of skiing dont you?

candide all over rules, and i still think rory bushfield is a dope skier.

 
They're certainly two of the best current skiers, but I don't know if they are necessarily better than legends like Doug Coombs, Scott Schmidt, or Trevor Peterson. Those guys all pioneered lines and mountains that many current pros are still afraid to ski. And, as much as I enjoy watching Morrison and Harrison, I don't see either skiing many technical lines. (Of course, I have only their films to judge them.) They tend to ski the more open, smooth lines and hit hucks with clear run-outs. As a result, their style looks smoother and more fluid than somebody trying to negotiate a 60-degree slope with fatal exposure below.

I'm not saying Harrison and Morrison aren't among the best of all time. I kinda think they're up there. But you can't forget guys like Coombs.
 
That is officially the best word i have read in years. I shall be informing the Oxford University press to include it in their new dictionary.
 
well Seth was the first one to really start incorporating tricks into big mountain lines and i love watching hugo ski because he skis so fast.... both skiers are both very technically strong and can rip like crazy
