tanner won x games slope too, a few times, and it didnt take him 10 years to do it. that argument doesnt quite work. and candide wasnt doing any new grabs up until the last year, just tail and mute. his parts were always somewhat boring to me just because it was the same stuff. he hasnt done any doubles yet, at least not in competition, so i mean, hes still a bit behind, at least in progression.
that said, he kills it, hes an innovator of the sport and hes still young, which is impressive as hell that hes been pushing it for so long, and from such a young age.
personally, im gonna have to go with jon. not necessarily my favorite skier, but he was doing sw rodeos wayyy back, pioneered the double flip and can do quite a few variations of it, he hosts probably the most progressive comp of the season, kills big mountain enough to win national competitions, and does all of this completely effortlessly. hes got a whole bunch of grabs too, and was doing true nose grabs before most people. as far as all around skiers, my vote goes to jon.
but blake nyman has got to be the one i see myself looking up to.
