Hey!

I'm going to Val D'isere this saturday (1/12 - 2007) and i need to find a decent park... all the park websites haven't really been updated so if anyone has an idea of where to go (maybe Les Deux Alpes, or perhaps Meribel) i really want to hear from you.,..

If you're going to Val D, go to Val D's park. Or nip over to Tignes - you'll spend too much time driving if you head elsewhere.

Haven't a clue if eithers built yet but there's probably the one on Tignes Glacier.

i think les2alpes is the only park in france up and running atm. certainly not val, and the tignes one won't be worth it. so yeah, if you're desperate for park, drive for hours to l2a...

Great i guess 2Alpes is the only solution :)

does anyone know about La Plagne?? I saw a video from there and it looked like they had a single decent kicker.....

Les Deux Alpes is pretty far away, 3 hours.

Les Diablerets is also 3 hours away and has the sickest park right now, that's Switzerland, but right across the border from France. There's an article on it on the front page of this site.

But seriously, with the amounts of snow it's been shitting in the alps lately, fuck parks man.

^not as much snow in val/tignes as suisse/austria, but rather than driving all the way to l2a or ld, which would be rediculous, just build kickers in val. there are a million and one spots in the area to build and there should be enough snow. so yeah, do that or if it snows as much as is forecast then just get some turns in bro...

why park when u have like 3 feet of fresh???

anyway u can check Avoriaz in Portes du soleil, or les deux alps that it isnt that good and if u have $$ go to LAAX (switzerland but really close to valdisere)

i'm super pumped to hear it's hitting hard in the EU already. no plans to get out there (yet!) but maybe this is what the climate change is going to do. a mega tour, one season one region gets destroyed, moving

on the next season to somewhere else, leaving the last place bone dry... oh, that kind of sounds like the TGR movie....

I go to la plagne quite often and i cant say the park is amazing (nothing compared to les 2alpes) but the actual resort is amazing, i love the place so much. Plus its only about half an hour from val and tignes ( i think)

The amount of nonsense posted in these threads is ridiculous.

Avoriaz is not even open on the date this thread is about.

Laax is nowhere near Val d'Isere, it's probably about 10 hours drive as it's completely on the other side of Switzerland.

well thought france got snow too cause st anton in austria is packed, and everything in europe is close thogught it was less but any way the alps are for bc... go to austria is cheaper than france and less people

The Val park won't open until early Jan unfortunately. Tignes does have a small park open down bottom at the beginning though (obviously very easy to ski over to). Beyond that it's such an awesome resort you won't run out of stuff to do. Apparantly it's snowed masses but there's only 20cms on lower slopes and 50 upper so it's not that much - hopefully they'll be another dump this week tho.
