Just having fun on skis. Which is what skiing to me is all about.
 
Just have fun doing whatever discipline you want. If you like racing, race (just don't be an entitled douche). If you like sending cornices, send it, (but don't bash rail rats because "they can't ski"). If you like park, ski it (but don't be a "gangster" dick to everyone worse than you). In the end, we are all united in our love for those two sticks strapped to our feet, just have fun with it.

TL/DR: Do whatever you want on skis, just don't act like your better than everyone else, it's just skiing.

For me, it's park. I absolutely love it and don't think it could get much better than that. I haven't done a lot of big mountain because of where I live. But that shit is insane too. Definitely have mad respect for it. I wish I could do more of it.

I think competing would be fun. Just trying to better yourself and getting pushed by other people better than you sounds cool. Just as long as people aren't too serious and doouchey about it

your favorite kind of skiing is snowboarding?
 
Best kind of skiing= Jibing and shredding all over the mountain with friends. I love pow but its hard to get the whole gang together on a pow day because of college or work. In the end skiing is skiing whether it's with a group of friends or by yourself; I prefer to ski with my friends but if they can't come with me all the time I will still ski without them.
 
For me, the best kind of skiing is the one that you enjoyed A LOT! Whatever tricks you use, as long as you feel free and happy. It's just like expressing ones feeling.
 
It's all fun, but nothing compares to the pow pow. Nothing. I realize a lot of people on NS don't have access to many pow days, but the truth is that powder is so much better than any other type of skiing.
