I'm still clinging to the turntable heel Look/Rossignol race binders from the 90-2006. It just sits so flat to the ski and I've NEVER pre-released. I absolutely cannot say the same for any other binding. I've skied several of the same skis in both bindings. Look/Rossi just feels closer to the ski and much more balanced.
I have the old Rossi ones, the not yellow ugly ones but hte ones after them and they seem good.
I find the best bindings I have had are the one with the three releases thing in your toes where you can move your fooot a little in the bindings and the spinning heel piece seems to help landing switch. Though they're pretty expensive.
the thing i dont liek about markers is that there are only 3 screws in the toe, at least to my knowledge, and they are all behind the toe piece. doesn't look very stable. i have used them before but i dont like that teh screws are not farther up like salomon and look bindings
