Just bought some '08 4Frnt TNKs (brand new, only $122.50!)

Size: 165cm

Dim: 106 - 82 - 102

Now I'm trying to find a good deal on some bindings, and I've been eying Rossi's Axial or Scratches or 4Frnts Deadbolts. My needs are a durable (like not all plastic) mostly lightweight bindings, but lightweight can be sacrificed if its durable. Trying to find a good price. If anyone has recommendations on other brand bindings, throw it out there. I'm here to listen. Thanks.

There is a cult like following on NS for look/rossi bindings so I'm gonna predict a lot of replies saying buy rossi.

For the past two seasons I've been using Rossi axial 120s and I love em. Great binding and I have no complaints. I've just picked up some 816s and have yet to mount them so I can't really give a solid review on them yet.

Rossi/Look binders kill it.

4frnt has actually moved to Tyrolia for their binders next year, so that speaks volumes on their confidence on the current VIST technology.

rossi axials or axial2s? Axials kill it and were one of my favorite bindings ever. Perfect, reliable, safe and incredibly durable. Only problem i ever had was the brakes. Im not as stoked on axial2s but i'd still consider them over 4frnt

i got axials and 4frnt bindings, and i like my 4frnts better, beacause there not so iffy as my rossis & there better for switch releases, 4frnt s are heavier but more reliable and consistant in my opiniion, but rossis are still good bindings, + i have 4frnt 412 for sale, check me thread, Anon, 4frnt, scarf, pro tech, siver, burton

What i heard is that vist wasn't doing much/anything to further research/improve their bindings or change anything for 4frnt so they decided to go with tyrolia who actually wanted to work with them and figure out something new/better..not necessarily because vist sucked they just weren't doing much interms of keeping things fresh/improved year after year. I've had pretty good experience with my deadbolts.. though i feel like the toe spring tends to be on the less tight side, i usually have to crank the toe at least 1 full din higher than the heel..plus they are super easy to adjust to different boot sizes

i have both the bindings you mentioned and i would choose my deadbolts over the axials in an instant. most people on this site that say the deadbolts suck havent ridden them and are jsut going with teh hype of pivot and rossi bindings. my deadbolt 614's are lighter then my axials and with tehm being wider i feel more locked in even though that has nothing to do with it. i've never pre-realesed, the switch landings are much better on teh deadbolts because the brake will not go down(unlike what happened to my axials on several occasions). i would say go with the deadbolts.

and next year's deadbolts will be pretty solid as well.
