The Best All Mountain/Park East Coast Ski's!?

I'm an aggressive downhill skiier looking to learn and improve in the park. I'm looking for a ski that will help me improve in the park but can still do the job on east coast groomers. So far I've been looking at AR6, Pipe Cleaner, El Ray, and Invaders. I'm leaning more towards the invaders at this point. What do you guys recommend?

What bindings to go with them?

Currently I ride 05/06 Troublemakers with Look Pivot bindings and i wear Nordica Beast 12 boots.

I may be looking for a new boot also. If so, what boots should I be looking at?

If you guys could reply with what you guys use also.

THANKS!!!

invaders or anthems, the extra width doesnt do anything. if you want stiffer go armadas ar6 of lines chronic.

ive got my anthems mounted with some salomon bindings. get some of them or some rossi scratch bindings

roll with any boot that feels good

the skis you have posted are all pretty different. Of those I would go with the ar6. The invaders are jib only skis. El rays are pricepoint and I Don't know much about pipecleaners. Also check out the line chronic/blend or some volkl walls.

would i want a wide ski on the east coast where there's no powder at all? im pretty sure i want the invaders. lots of people seem to give it good reviews. my goal this season is to become a solid intermediate in the park. now the only question i have is the bindings. someone mentioned scratch bindings but the ones im looking at come in 100mm wide brakes. is that too wide for a 83 waist (invader)?

i think you'll be ok if your brakes are wider than your skis.

if its the other way around then youve got a problem on your hands

I would say AR6s... super solid skis for groomers and dope for park also.. not noodly as hell like ud get outta invaders

anthems hands down.

i rode a pair of invaders and they blew ass.

i couldnt beleive they were made by line, by how god like my anthems ride.

best pair ive ever rode

I love my MSP, they are great for all mountain. I also picked up Liberty KGBs which I dig too, plus you can pick them up for wicked cheap.

yes go ar6. the anthems are fatter, softer, and symettical so they must be mounted center. AR6s are lighter, stiffer, and a way better all around ski that would blow the anthem out of the water all-mountain but then if center mounted would do just as good as the anthem. Pipe cleaner is more of a pure pipe ski with a race base but supposedly skinnier edges meaning durability on rails would suck. Do not know much about them though other than that

from what i hear the pipe cleaner actually has the same edges as the ar6, but i still dont reccomend it for you if you are doing much all mtn skiing

how do you guys feel about trouble makers? my friend works at a ski shop and recommends them for me. he also says armada in general isnt that great

how do you guys feel about troublemakers/? my friend who works at a ski shop recommends them. he also says armada the brand isnt that great

im not so sure about the invaders cuz there sposed to be pretty flexy and if you like all mountain ur prolly gunna want to go with a stiffer ski for carving an all that but for new boots dalbelo for sure man. the have the new boots made espescially for newschool and freeskiing. there sposed to be real light and have a new 3 buckel system. glen plake skis dalbello so dus tanner if im not mistaken so you no there good.

pick up a pair of used public enemies they are ok in the park and tear up the rest of the mountain thats what im riding right now and couldnt be happier unless i was on a pair of lizzies or seths

ok so im thinking ar6, or troublemakers. i'd still like an opinion on the troublemakers though. and someone for the boots dalbello rave or rampage? does anyone know the price difference between these? and how are they?

Troublemakers aren't as good of a ski as the AR6s. In or out of the park. If your bindings are still good, stay with them. Whatever you do, do not buy Salomon bindings...pre-release gong show! I would buy either the Salomon Kaos boot, or the Dalbellos you listed. The Kaos is comfortable and around 400 bucks.

Good luck!

ok I live in ontario, we don't get very much powder. I have a pair of anthems, I love them. super stable, the 93 isn't noticable, its really soft and buttery, but thats the point of the ski. I've also just bought a pair of pipecleaners, the rule the whole mountain. The racing base is definately noticable, I never have to worry about having enough speed for a jump. The pipecleaner is essentially a upgraded version of the ar6. In some of the gear reviews they said that the pipecleaner was harder to control because of it's stiffer tail, but if you're an accomplished skier, you won't have any problem. I've mounted mine at -2 from centre and they kill it at that mounting point.

get a pair of public enemy's. they are nice and stiff and this years are even more stiffer. they are a good park ski and shred the rest of the mountain

my vote again is for the PE simply based on durability ive owned the t-halls and they were durable but the PE's are just bombproof had mine for two years and havent had hardly a scratch on the bases, never a coreshot, hardly an topsheet damage (due to the thick plasticy material they have on the top thats like 1/2in thick) and there is no way they are delaming due to the extreme amount of rivets they use.

so in my opinion both are sick ski's armada in my opinion is just a little less durable but either way if you get the PE's or the AR6's you will be happy

My friend has a pair of ar-6s and hes actually selling them for 150 there last years but he won a pair of rossi scratch ghettos and he rides those now. They have bindings and there in good shape no core shots or edge cracks. if your interested i can get pics and more info.

evan, i sent you a pm. i think i do want to get some ar6's. my friend says the Dalbello il moro's are sick. i think i want to get those too.

i perfer Salomon spks because i have a wider foot and they are soo responsive but its all personal preferance. ill have to have my friend get you more info on the skis i no there 171 armada ar6s amazing jib skis and there in ok condition. and they have thbinding. And hes selling them for 100 not 150 like i thought.

i think you would be happy with either the ar6's or PE's.. i have PE's on the east coast and i love them. they are a little heavy but u get used to it then u never realize it. i dont know much about to ar6 butt ive heard good things. also the spk boots are comfortable s hell and are just plain nasty.
