The 'Be the NS Bitch' contests

I thought my understanding was that you did not need a passport to get into Canada from the US... but you need one to get back into the US.
 
we have a winner!!!! i looked all this shit up, thats y i coubldnt go to COC for camp this summer. u can get into canada no prblm its the getting back into the states thats gonna fuck u over, plus 3 month waiting list on passports
 
if thats the case thats really messed up.... we canadians don't need a passport to head down to the states just 2 piece of ID one photo...
 
Beginning January 31, 2008, U.S. citizens 19 years and older who

enter the U.S. at land and sea ports of entry from within the Western

Hemisphere will need to present government-issued photo ID, such as a

driver’s license as proof of identity, along with proof of citizenship,

such as a birth certificate or naturalization certificate, or a

passport. Children age 18 and under will be able to enter with proof of

citizenship. Verbal claims of citizenship and identity alone will not

be sufficient to establish identity and citizenship for entry into the

United States.

By June 1, 2009, or earlier, a new American

law, the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI), will require

anyone, including U.S. citizens, entering or re-entering the United

States by land and sea to have a passport or other appropriate secure document.

still can't find anything that says that you need a passport to re-enter the states PRIOR to June 1st 2009
 
If you were already signed up for the camp for session A, but you did the picture thing tonight by midnight, and you were repping NS hard, do you think you could get a refund for the session you payed for or something?
 
yah i read the thingy and all i find is "Any photos posted in the forums will be disregarded. This contest begins today and the deadline is Sunday, June 15th, with the winner being announced the following day."

 
We're deciding on it as we speak. It's my bad for it not being announced yesterday, as I was traveling all day from New York to Montreal to Vancouver. Sorry guys. The winner will be announced within a few hours, so hang tight...

Seriously it's not like I got tons o bucks to throw around either, but for free room and skiing I think I could put up with buying an expensive plane ticket.
 
Even if it's a grand for a ticket, that's still pretty cheap for a week in whislter and skiing.

We could go back and forth all day, but I'd rather just come to agreement that this is a kick ass contest put on by a kick ass website.
