I just saw The Avengers movie and I gotta say it was freaking awesome!

I loved every minute and I want to be Thor.

What do you guys think?
 
Pretty good movie, needed less of everyone else (Scarlett and Hawkeye were such useless, boring, throwaway characters) and more of Stark and Hulk. But definitely something I'd recommend, that long pan during the last fight scene was just what I've been waiting for in superhero movies.
 
probably the best superhero movie of all time. Has anyone seen it in IMAX 3D yet? and if so was it worth it?

I stayed through the first half of the credits to the bit where (for spoilers sake I will keep all details out) Person X talks to personY and then smile. was there more after that?
 
I don't know why anyone would see it. In their individual movies they just destroy their enemies so when they are together they will just destroy them more. pathetic.
 
go watch it before you hate on it. It was a very well done movie and unlike most action movies actually had good dialogue and plot (thank you Joss Whedon)
 
Oh and have to say that Whedon and Co. did something brilliant with the script when it came to banter. Spiderman 2, Iron Man and The Avengers are now the best and funniest three superhero films.

I'll leave the Nolan Bat films out as they're genre-breaking, not genre-defining like these. When I started watching, I din't expect such witty banter between the chars, but delivered like fuck.
 
I highly dislike the spiderman movies cause i thought toby mcguire was absolutely the wrong choice for spiderman.

but on topic, im excited to see the avengers....i always enjoy summer blockbusters and this will probably be the best one.
 
yeah it looks like your standard summer action flick to me. I'm sure it's entertaining, but i feel like it's getting way to much hype for something that's really been done before. but hey, maybe i'll see it and be proven wrong. just my pessimistic two cents.
 
^shows some purple dude implying who the next one is about. and i thought the movie was sick. The hulk was fuckin AWSOME. the first 45 mins were slow as fuck though... almost fell asleep
 
ya they were just sitting in a little schwarma place and all of them were eating and no one said anything, it was pretty funny but that was it
 
It definitely lived up to the hype. I saw it yesterday and i'm going again in like an hour.

There's this one part where Bruce Banner is just like, "YOOOLLLLLOOOOOO" and turns green and attacks an airplane while it's flying.
