yeah so, the internet, with its wealth of knowledge has no new info on the band. Pollstar's last concert date listed was today, march ninth, and the band cancelled on Arts County Fair at UBC. All the signs for the show say it's because the band broke up. Who's going to varify this for me?

Ataris were good before they went mainstream. Just like any other band.

i think they realized that they sold out, so they thought they would end everyones suffering before it got out of hand.

but its true, they used to be good.

Kind of sad news, but they were going way downhill. They should have called it quits after End Is Forever, or even before that, and moved on to other projects or producing. Blue Skies... is still one of my top 10 records ever though, so I still love them.

 
yeah their early stuff is good, and that is a good philosohpy that they didnt wanna continue becomning maintstream...oh well their old stuff was good, and i will still listen to it

Mainstream-ness has nothign to do with it at all. It's just shit that once they did get a lot of recognition their music was nowhere near their best, otherwise they could have made it big.

 
Like I totally like music before other people like them but as soon as other people like them I totally don't like them anymore. even if they don't change their style they still sell out. Do you know what I mean? Like its a lot better when I only know about them because I am core and different and that's cool and I get chicks and like..... cool.
