The Anthems

Im planning on purchasing a pair of line anthems. preferably the pollar octoland one. The only thing Im worried about is the width. Ive never skied on a wide ski, but is it even that wide? also are they light? Ive heard nothing but good about these skis I just wanna make sure before I spend money

strickly from what i have heard when talking to other is, yes this ski is fairly light, and being 93 underfoot can be taken any where, it may just take a day or two to get used to, other than that they are super poppy, and can hit pretty much anything, the octs are damn tempting for 429

well the octoland skis are the the 07 anthems with diff. graphics, if u want to see the overall ski got to www.getboards.com and look up the 08 anthems they have a video on how the width handels in the park, but i don;t think the octolands have an ollie band. i was interested in buying a pair myself

i love anthems i used them for park and pow. theyre good in park, not too wide at all. also theyre pretty floatly

umm are you sure about that? i'm pretty sure they meant the same construction as next years the 09 ones but different graphics

i rode invaders last year and i tried my friends arv's for a run

i barely noticed a differece but yeah there is one

but you will get used to it in about 1 day of riding most likely

I'm looking at getting a pair of '09s this year, but how do they perform out of the park? Ice, groomers? Are they too soft to really charge hard?

Also, I'm a little worried about the 93 waist in the park... I'm used to narrower skis for park. Is it that much different?

i have the 08 anthems and i was a little worried about the width for the park but i like them a ton for it. there super poppy and they have more stability for landings. plus being symmetrical there amazing for switch riding.

I also have the 08 anthems and I wasn't worried at all about the width, and I switched from a pair of skinny ass 05 teneightys who are like 85mm in the waist. The anthems feel so light and solid in the air, you never think that they are clumsy in the park. I could easy go for a 100mm park ski but that's just me. So don't worry, it's not gonna be too wide.
