China's economy is only 'strong' becuase it is overheated, and that can be devastating if not handled correctly.
china is making the worlds 'thneeds' cheaper than anyone else, so of course the money will come in.
Not to mention the trillion dollar war bush retartedly started.
all in all, chinas future is looking up. (I just got back from there last week)

Shanghai, on China's East Coast, is probably the most modern city in the world, by far it is much more modern that any city in the US. China is doing great, and they don't eat babies, haha. China's government is theoretically communist, but it's economy is catpitalism at its best. While the US slacks in school requirements for their students, China has made it law that you cannot graduate and get a high school diploma without being fluent in English. Crazy shit.

how? well, im not to sure on the peticulars, but when in one frame of vision, you see someone riding a 100 yr old bike, thats probably worth thousands as an antique, right beside a bmw 740 series, a ultra modern high rise next to a shantytown made from packing crates, you'll see that it has happened, how im not quite sure.

skipimp, have you ever heard of the book Plan B... its got a lot about diminshing water supplies. theres stats in it about chinese farmers drilling 4000 feet down for water. and the crazy dust storms and evaporation are probably going to make relatively short work of this big damn youre talking about. the author of this book... which my parents stole to read before i could finish... so i ahve tyo get it back... has some plan i didnt get to for avoiding a world food shortage in like 20 yrs.

Yeah China is doing great I guess, but India is a huge mess. Anyone ever read a fine balance? probably not.

China's economy is in catch up mode with the west and i growing rapidly. Soon it will face the problems associated with this massive growth. Also China's cities are growing, yet poverty is still in many places. There equality of wealth is fairly unbalnced. The average American is better off then the average chinese person, plus china is probably going to expierence the economic lull that is now seen in japan after massive economic growth.

i agree there is def the poverty/population problem in china that will set the economy back. i went to china to visit family once and practically everyone there is poor as dirt.
