have fun SHUTTING THE FUCK UP you dont get fined for ANYTHING in the alps; you have total freedom to ski wherever you want my boy...

i recommend verbier, although maybe quite expensive for a week, it has some of the best b/c in the world hands down.

also try chamonix in france, meribel in france or la plagne for some cheap but expansive powder.

I hate people who dont know what they are talking about^^^^

You get fined for skiing off piste in Italy, which is the Southern Alps. Europe is sick though. Too many amazing places to list here. The best places I have been are Val D'isere, Chamonix, Zermat, Verbier and Avoriaz.

The scale of the mountains will blow you away if you have only ever skiied in the US.

third season in the alps after growing up in ontario/quebec and let's just say there is bit of a difference.... forget BC or AK heli skiing just get on a lift and do it.

where you going to go then? (i.e. what country/city)

try any of the french resorts... val d'isere, tignes, courchevel + 3 valleys, la plagne, les arcs, la clusaz, les deux alpes ... any of those will rock your socks.

drop me a line if you want any specific info on anywhere..

Chamonix is the cheapest place for accommodation etc. Val D'iseres the best nite out but also the most expensive. Avoriaz is good too. I'd go for Cham cos the BC skiing is awesome.

Yeah my bro is going over to Flims early next year, his German girlfriend got a house there, lucky guy. But yeah there are heaps of places to try out in the Alps and its completely different to skiing in Canada or US. Lot more older people sking around that like to stick to the groomers so there is plenty of fresh powder left.

the alps arnt cheap. Flims/laxx (same resort) are amazing in switzerland. If you go there stay in the riders palace its not too expensive. Its this super nice hotel basically made for young people. The rooms all have tv's and playstations and there is a bar/nightclub downstairs. laxx has a super good park (its hosting the burton european open) and pipe and great backcountry. Iv been there 8 times and am going back next year because its soo good.

Dont go to England...E V E R

I skied in austria at, Axamer Lizum, Stubai Glacier, Schlick 2000, and St.Anton, and Lech in Switzerland
