The alps or japan for a 2/3 week trip next winter?

Planning my honeymoon for next winter trying to decide between the alps or japan. What is the best time of year to go to either? If your vote is the alps where and why? Are there areas in the alps that you can fairly easily interconnect between different countries? Please only reply if you have been before. Thanks!!!

I would do Alps,In February if it is just for skiing. I have never been there, but my sister lives in Italy, and this is just a glorified BUMP.

alps, you can go between countries fairly easily

both would be sweet, japan would be a longer flight (if you live in the east) but woul be a diffrent kind of sking aventure

Japan but it will cost u 5x as much.

In the alps Avoriaz, Laax, Zermatt rule.

Avoriaz u can ski from France to Switzerland.. Zermatt u can ski from Switzerland to Italy..

HINT: stay out of the 'disneyland' resorts they suck... 3 Vallees, La Plagne, etc..
