The 2011-2012 Saga thread

It's a shell, so you're going to want to layer up like you normally would for -20.

The thing about layering is that you can always take layers off if you're too warm.

Saga Presents- The Shutout from Saga outerwear on Vimeo.

It's a minimal jacket, something for spring shredding

I like the hoody too but the flannel is going to be played out before it even hits the market. They are kinda turning into a Holden type brand for everything other than the Anomie.

Hahahaha saga is far from classy in the streetwear department. Yeah it looks good but there are a plethora of other brands that make classier streetwear.

O yeah buddddddddyyyyy

what the fuck. thats such bullshit i dont understnad why saga cant be like a normal company and have everything on time for people who are trying to ski. my shit falls under shipping the 24, maybe i will get it be the 30th. i ordered like the second day, i just dont understand.

if anybody wants to clarify i will be here.

... When your pre-ordered you knew very well that they promised shipping by November 25th. Last I checked 24th is before 25th, so you have nothing to be mad about...

How is that bullshit? Once again, you knew exactly what the estimated shipping date was. And the reason they don't get their stuff earlier has been discussed numerous times throughout the thread. They are independent, and smaller, and obviously don't get bumped to the top of a manufacturers list. What else do you need clarified?

So shutup because you sound like a bitch considering you are probably going to get your stuff earlier that estimated.

hey hero, its the internet.

and i am sorry i dont recall once people mentioning the reason they dont ship out early. why are you even here? clearly you do not care about the exact location of $425 you spent in july

First of all...they told you right off the bat that they'd be expecting shipping around November 30th...why anyone expects it to be earlier, I don't understand...in fact, the fact that they've been able to ship out this early is awesome.

Secondly, the reasoning is that they open up pre-orders so that they can get a baseline for what's going to be popular and what's not, this helps them decide how much of what to ship, after a couple of weeks (since, like you, most people place their orders once pre-orders being) they make their order, then production can really grow. Then the company who makes outerwear has to finish production, and ship it, then it has to go through customs (which can take days...or even weeks, like LDC last year). The smaller orders get finished quicker so they get shipped first, while the more popular items take longer and ship later. So that's why it takes so long. Or, at least that's what I understand (I don't know Saga's situation personally, but this is what most companies work with, especially those who do pre-orders like this).

Just be patient, you can wear last years outerwear for a week or two until your items get to you.

thats a legit answer. thank you for not being an asshole ^ sorry just a little upset that some items go out the 14 and then others 10 days later. i understand thats because things get in from the manufacturer at different times, but w.e. now can everybody calm down?

clarification:

it says shipping the 21st are:

blah blah blah, Storm Trooper, crap crap crab, size medium

I ordered an XL but it doesn't say XL anywhere in there. I also ordered XL Murda Pants, but those probably won't ship until the Storm Trooper is in also right?

forget it, reread the post above and now understand. Hopefully I will get home from Spain on December 2nd and have everything sitting there waiting for me.

And yes to whoever mentioned this above ^:

It is fucking awesome that a small company like Saga ships early. I preordered who the hell knows how long ago, and didn't plan very well, but if Saga didn't ship early I would probably have to deal with changing my shipping address, or having someone forward me the package from the east coast to Colorado, because I will be flying there the 9th....

SO FUCKING STOKED ALL MY STUFF IS SHIPPING OUT ON THE 14ISH (could be later but still stoked) I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!

All of the items from order #xxxxx have now been shipped:

1x Balaclava Duo

1x Knit & Tube Combo

They are being shipped via USPS to the following address:

blablabla to SWITZERLAND

seriously considering canceling my order, but I got the free prize pack, which I would not have bought if I had to pay for it. what do? cancel order, offer for them to keep the prize pack money?

if your gonna cancel your order you should still pay for the prize pack. even though that kinda sucks. out of curiosity, why are you cancelling?

I've just sort of changed my mind about the stuff. I don't like the way the pockets on the on deck look, I don't think the slims will be skinny enough, and I already have 20/15 k skinny pants that I love. just sort of changed my mind.

oh, and I have 2 other jackets already, too. I have had to build a suit while waiting on stuff from 2 different companies. might as well just keep what I have.

what 20/15k skinny pants do you have? cause i've been worrying that the slims aren't gonna be slim enough.

They probably aren't gonna be slim enough if youu want legit skinny pants. Go to their website and check out their videos for the slims. I'd post it but I'm on my phone. But tthey are only supposed to be like a medium slim so it's like an in between baggy and really slim

Hey guys :)Sorry for yet another sizing question. I'm 5'9 and around 155 lbs.

I'm wondering if I should get a XL og L jacket, when I want it to reach like 2 inches above my knee. Like I'm really close to getting the L, but I'm afraid if it will be too small? :)

Thx in advance

im 5 9 and it goes dirctly on my knees kinda below.. if u wanna be gangster get xl, if you dont get L.

id get L my xl is pushin it

im 5'10 and took an xl, the way i see it is if its too big i can return for a L because usuaally the xls sell out more

My friend is 5'9 and he took an XL and it reaches just above his knees but it looks soooo gangst. I got my shutout in XL and I can't wait to get it. I'm 6'1

Man I have to wait till the 24th for my on deck too? That sucks. I know they said before the 30th but I'm 99% sure I received my stuff way earlier last year. I sold my last years gear for saga gear this year, guess I'll freeze in a hoodie until december.

So I just noticed this...

If you click on the Slims directly from the outerwear tab, they're listed as being "2 layer 10k rugged fabric". But when you click on any of the models wearing them in the mix n' match section, the description says "5k poly shell with fleece backing."

What are the Slims? 2 layer 10k? Or (1 layer) 5k poly shell?
