The 2011-2012 Saga thread

Its a nice line. Really disappointed Durtschi's jacket isnt the one he has been wearing for the past year. REALLY disappointed. Oh well its nice, digging the new soft shell stuff they have. Where are the hoodies? Not sure about the new names - lobster and hybrid too were better than rip city red and vivid blue.

The only stuff i initially think i would actually buy would be the storm trooper jacket, pittsburgh pants or the home on deck jacket. Maybe the new durschi one but it seems a little too obscene even for saga.

Has Saga ever actually stated the waterproofing of their previous lines or just said it was 3L? I can't remember.

Now to wait and see what the pricing is.

My analysis (although none of you care):

Jackets (The Anomie 3L) - Designs are the basic Saga look with the exception of different colors and what looks like "elbow pads". This is a good thing. For me, I've always loved Saga's designs: the trademark "over-sized bottom pockets", 3-way colorway, clean cut look, etc. I want to be able to differ Saga from other outerwear companies and I've been able to do that year after year. So good job Saga. You've impressed me yet again.

Pants (The Anomie 3L) - Not a huge fan of the new pants look (that is only because I love one-way colored pants), but I give Saga props for doing something a little different. I know this directly contradicts my review of the jackets, but it is good to see that Saga feels they can change it up a bit. I know that there will be big fans of this new look of pants. That being said, I love the one way colored pants this year. They even introduced a new color (Creamsicle) and got rid of the "patch" (black/grey patch on the thigh) that was on previous pants. I like it a lot. Good job, Saga.

Coats (The On Deck) - These baseball-style coats look good and very clean. It's awesome to see another line of coats/jackets apart from the Anomie line. I definitely like the striped ribbing on the bottom. Very impressive.

Coats (The Shut Out) - Analysis is basically the same as the one above, except that I like these better.

Pants (The Slims) - These are some of the cleanest pants I've ever seen. I don't usually wear anything that skinny, but I feel these would be a good start if I ever did. The colors are great and I really like the "minimal logos". Fantastic.

Vests (The Enlisted) - Not a big fan of these either. I really like the vests from last year and I was hoping the ones this year would be somewhat of the same, but it's not the end of the world. They look clean so it's not a loss, Saga.

In conclusion, I like the line this year and there are definitely going to be more people rocking the company this year. Good job, Saga. You've done it again.

I don't really like any of their anomie jackets but their anomie pants look sick, as for the rest of their outerwear it's amazing.

Does anyone know what the liners look like?

and has saga ever said what the waterproofing is on previous lines? I thought it was 20k/20k but cant find it stated anywhere.

Yeh it's 20k/20k just like this years. It states it somewhere on the tag that comes on the sleeve with the tag with all the color options of the anomie series when shipped.

Tech changes from last to this years:

20k/20k is now 20k/15k.

Upgraded waterproof coating

Saga logo is now stitched on, not iron on.

UDF protectivbe coating to protect against UV rays.

The shell fabric in the pictures looks AMAZING. Waterproofing has definately taken a step up if looks are to be believed.

This.Im probably just gonna pick up the camo pants to go with it.

09/10 vader is my favourite jacket of all time.

Perfect fit, great pocket locations/number and great materials (the black 09/10 fabric differed from the colored 09/10 fabric.)

i was really impressed truly i was expecting greatness from saga and i was not expecting that, it was jaw dropping excellence

Ah shit, today is my birfday and I completely forgot about the Saga coming out? I may have to spend some moolah.

hmm, i really respect saga and it looks like they put a lot of effort into it. not sure what i would like though and wish the skinneys were in a different color. if people start doing little photoshop jobs of what they are getting then maybe ill be able to tell what i like better. also, in the lifestyle shots is the guy with the purple and black jacket rocking skinney pants? cant tell

Grey jacket with camo pants would be a money combination. But since I've got new pants, I'm definitely getting Wiley's jacket, although I'm not too stoked on the amount of black patches, I was hoping it'd be more plain. However, I fucking love everything this year.
