The 2010-11 Saga Thread

It's funny how the stoked level in the saga thread is going up, cuz really the line is sick and the size are the good one. And in the FD thread the stoked level is crashing down bahahahah.
 
yeah saga is amazing, im so glad i got saga and not first drop. seems like EVERYONE has problems in the first drop thread HAHAHAHA! and to think, i had purchased a pair of pants... thank god i had some common sense and refunded to get saga
 
this years looks way better now that i see the real thing, anyone with a xl tim d or goldcoast jacket want a L drank jacket from last year let me know ;)
 
i think u need to calm down a bit both are good comapines and when your reference EVERYBODY theres about 4-5 people in that thread who have had issues and it wasnt even FD's fault it was the shipping compaines. i own both saga and fd so i am not baised but i have not had any problems with either. the hate isnt needed ur not smuggs...
 
I suppose i exaggerated a little bit, but after reading 4 pages in the first drop thread, it seemed like atleast 'half' the people were either:

1. unsatisfied with the fit of their gear

2. had customer service issues

3. had wrong orders delivered

4. and some didn't even get their entire order
 
idk man.. go take a look at the last couple pages of the first drop thread, and read what people are saying
 
i dont usually comment on anyone's spelling around here since a bunch of people on this site arent even in high school, but this post is an abomination. there are some common errors here that arent really an issue, but i have NO idea how you arrived at both those iterations of the word "companies"

but anyway, more on topic, i had FD pants last year and i really didn't like them that much, that's why i got Saga to add new pants to my order a few weeks ago. i probably wouldnt get FD again, even though i know last year was their first year and they will probably improve their quality. the pants were just too damn big for me and i didnt really like the material. i also didnt really like how the bib/suspenders were designed, and the pants were kinda ridiculous to just wear with a belt cause the waist was like 40+ inches. that said, the color scheme was pretty cool, and if i were 6ft tall id probably have liked them better.
 
haha I wasn't even paying attention if I went and proofread I would've fixed it but oh well haha. on the other hand yeah I agree with that their product last year was crap from what I saw but i'm def going to give them a try this season. I believe they saw the error in how they went about things last year and have done a real good job fixing it so far.
 
u know why saga made their jackets smaller this year ? it's because some KIDS tought they would be cool by wearing big stuff so they ordered XL and then complained it was TOO big ! just order smaller...because there is Tall people out there that need tall stuff! ....
 
Yeah Ive read it and I do agree they did have some problems but most weren't even their fault (shipping error, factory error,some order thing they had I don't remember the name crashed on their site) but think about Saga a couple years ago where they didn't ship their stuff until about February, I think it was. Also LDC a couple years ago had their jackets messed up and were more fat than tall. All companies have issues in the beginning and that is not a question. I wouldn't say FD is better than Saga because its not.From your original post it sounds like you were not really seeing FD's side of this. Lesh is a legit guy and he is doing everything he can to fix whatever happened which is totally legit in my mind. So maybe drop the hate a little bit there's really no need for it unless your directly involved with the problem causing the hate. Lets keep this thread about Saga. Syrup and Gld Coast jackets I think are def the two sickest in the line.
 
i got fd and main complaint on the thread is no tracking number.....sizing is our own faultand fd customer service is amazing so no need to hate ppl. but yeah saga is same size in large as fd so i wonder what size you 5'8-5 10 ppl got for saga ?
 
Yeah man, why the fuck are so many people retarded thatthey can't just order what thy want and stick with it. I bet saga is getting held up from shipping a bit with all the stupid pointless emails these shits are sending
 
i want my saga so badddd. has anyone recieved any shipping confirmations for large king cobra or large ghost pants?! also can we get more pics from people who got there saga already? im feenin...
 
and i agree with you, i've stuck with my order since i placed it back in the summer but saga can take some of the blame considering the majority of their suits aren't how they look online. If I could knew the ACTUAL colors when i place my order theres a good chance i woulda picked something else.
 
Alright guys here multiple pic of the Gold Coast Jacket and Black pants. Both size xl, Model is 5 10.Starting with the pants,

Here they are at waist, I have a 33 inch waist and with xl a belt is necessary.Here is a picture of the front pockets, they have 2 zippers for 2 different overlapping pockets.The top one has a velcro cover and the bottom does not.

They have 2 vents on either side with the new pattern that is on the inside of the jacket. They are not as big as i would imagine(I am pulling it as wide as possible in the pic)

Next is the pocket featured on the left arm. The inside is soft and has a clip for a pass.

Left pocket is a google case/misc pcket with no zipper

On the right is a pocket for your ipod or zune( lol...zunes). it has a zipper and a small hole for the wire.

Overall the jacket is very sick, it seems a little heavier than previous saga jackets but still not super heavy but well have to see how it wears this winter!!
 
i got XL and im 5'10 probably gonna be big. i dont think many people are taking into account though width. i mean some of these kids are scrawny as fuck. if they had a larger build it might not be so bad
 
I didn't read this whole thread yet but should I be concerned if I ordered the black jacket and blue pants and havent gotten any shipping confirmation yet?

Btw, i live in the USA.

 
not size, fit. first drop just looks plain old ugly, cant even explain it, but its just good looking at all
 
i know where you are coming from, i had to take a bunch of pics of my FD to make it look anybit good, but it does look a lot better in person when you are all geared up, ski boots and all
 
It just looks boxy to me if that makes any sense. the pants look ridiculously big and i dont find the fit looks that great from what ive seen. but hey like you said its all personal preference.
 
Saga is cool and all, but doesnt have THUBMYS!!!! gots to have thumbys (the liner at the end of the sleeve)! Thumbys are soo hot right now lol
 
who cares what it looks like, saga is infinitely more technical.

btw not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but there is a zipper under the flap at the top of the bottom stripe on the back of the jacket. YAYYYYY back vents.
