The 2010-11 Saga Thread

my first drop was way too hot on any day warmer than -15c. shells your can change layers to make it as warm or cold as you want.

It blocks wind pretty well. It was killer at Mammoth, which is notorious for bad wind. 50mph winds and as long as you had a hoodie on underneath I was fine. I was fucking toughing it out though. Athletic shorts under my pants, a tee and Jiberish hoodie under my jacket. The first day I wasn't wearing a hoodie and it was the coldest I had ever been in my entire life. It blocks wind well though. Just what a shell should do.

besides some of the lobster, darkside, ghost classic kits... that lobster moss combo is prolly the next, that moss lobster kit is fire. i want

Okay, I have a new dilemma. Lobster jacket+moss or goldcoast pants OR Ghost jacket+Lobsterpants? I am leaning towards lobster+goldcoast.

anyone like this?

Complementary colors bro. Definitely works, they contrast each other really well because they are exact opposites on the color wheel. Other combos are blue and orange, yellow and purple, pink and lime green ect.

saga is litteraly shit outerwear. theyre all shell jackets that arent all theyre cracked up to be.

trendwhores: bring on the hate.

Why do you think saga is shit? You need to elaborate. Im looking into buying saga and would like to hear from someone who is not in love with them.

And shell jackets are pretty sick. Very versatile. If you get cold you can add layers, if your warm you can remove layers.

A shell is what you want, unless you live in perhaps the Northeast. 20k/20k, 3L, definitely the most tech outerwear you can get for $400. Sure, Trew is better, but it's also like $200 more for a full suit.

You're an idiot. Find me another jacket that's 3L 20K for under $300 brand new Shells are much better than insulated jackets, shells give you the ability to add or take off layers depending on the weather. Don't try and act cool and say Saga is shit because they have their act together better than any other small outerwear company.

The pants will probably look slimmer than they actually are up against that massive jacket, look through last years outerwear thread and there is a pic of a kid with that combo.

actually im pretty sure saga has had mesh lining and cozy fleece on all of their gear since day 1. never ever has it just been a "shell"

yea i read this on their website in the paragraph talking about their new line on the front page, "From a rugged new 3 Layer fabric, ARTIST INSPIRED LINER, and the most

vivid colorways, we welcome what our team claims as the best fitting,

most technical gear Saga has ever achieved."

Maybe i misinterpreted what the artist inspired liner is, i took it as one of those liners that you can take out of your coat. maybe im wrong. sorry for the confusion.

forgot, LOBSTER JACKET HYBRID TOO PANTS

i guess if you never come out to whistler, grouse, seymour, mt washington its chill though

i wouldnt do this because they are both purple but if they are slightly different shades it will look weird. i thought about it cause i have the baldwin also. go for a completely different color thats what i would do

i guess thats chill since youre far enough away, but if we ever meet you have to tell people you got your idea from me, otherwise i will come steal your suit while you sleep

How tall is everyone and what size did you get? I'm about 5'6" and got large, I know it will be big and I want that I just hope its not rediculous. What about anyone else?
