i'm 5'11 and 08/09 medium pants fit just right, but large would have been nice and baggy. i'd say go with large unless you want them absolutely massive.

correct, 09/10 was the biggest so far. not sure if this is true but after seeing a couple kids with 10/11 pants they look much slimmer at the knee.
