The 1 thing you saw which made you fall in love with this sport

That comp Johnny "Big Air" Mosley put on after he won the Olympics and I remember the announcers saying how he was at a disadvantage because he didn't have twin tips. But yea I had been skiing before that just really the first time I had seen Newschool skiing. I definitely hit up the snowboard park on my rentals to hit jumps way before that.

Hell yeah. That + Fire & Ice + Hotdog + Liscense to Thrill and every other old ski movie I saw back in the day. That and skiing with Plake.

skiing mount tremblant going up the chair lift of the park and this kid went of a jump and did the craziiest shit ever and i was just blown away and started hitting the park all the time

Well i snowboarded first then bought a pair of old skis for 75 cents and old crappy boots, tried those and have been hooked ever since

same with me except i was 2.5. i really got hardcore into it at age 14 and i was skiing bumps and park. been ubsessed ever seince...

ya. me too.

and i met glen plake a couple of times in ft lauderdale and she told me who we was. then i saw him on warren miller. hooked ever since.

I was maybe 12 or 13, and I remember building a raggity ass tiny jump on a closed trail, at night, (we have night skiing where I am), and just throwing myself off it until I landed a 360.

I was hooked on freeskiing at that time. I always liked hitting jumps though. Also poached closed runs and went off the rail in search of fine "lines" all the time.

watching clips on skiingmotion.com and team13.com first got me interested, then 1242 made me fall in love.

ski movie 1 played a big part.

I mean I had always skied, but it opened my eyes that stuff liek thsi was even possible.

I remember picking up the 1999 Powder Photo Annual when I was like 15 and just being blow away by everything I saw in it. That was the point when I knew I wanted to change the way I skied.

i've been skiing since i was about 2 years old and its always been my favorite thing to do

but the thing that got me into newschool skiing.......was probably the first ski movie i ever saw which i think was yearbook

well i start skiing at 3, i'm now 19,and i can say that i love this sport from the beginning ,and that i continue to love it.

Propaganda make me love freestyle..

Watching Tanner shred the park in Mammoth in 2000. I was thinking of switching to snowboarding until then. Bought a pair of 1080's the next day.

my dad tells me he used to take me to the hill when i was 4 just to watch. the following year, i was on skis. I think I always loved it but when I went to COC when I was 13 and saw the whole lifestyle aspect of it, I was hooked.

i have never seen 1242 in fact, i havent seen many many ski movies at all

for me, its not what i saw, but how i feel after stomping a trick or ripping

I'm gonna thank my older bro on this one. I stole his Freeskier's and read them, then saw a couple movies (YEARBOOK!), then just went from there.

skiings always been a family thing then i went to windells for a week and the next i bought twins

i was little and sheltered in my little pa world, my mom sent me to windells instead of surfing for spring break not much good skiing in pa so most people dont even know twins exist, it was kinda an awakening and now im lucky enough my brother lives in colorado/seattle so i ski with him anytime i can
