has anyone woken up in the middle of the night, been able to open their eyes but have no way to move your body. its the trippiest shit in the world to just lie in your bed starring at the wall without even beeing able to move your head.

it happened to me, and I swear to god it felt like there was a cat walking on my balls. That's the only way I can describe it

i've never had that happen, but if i'm exhausted, i've notoriously fallen half asleep on the phone. i'll start dreaming and talking out loud but not coherently. i guess i've texted people jibberish in the middle of the night and held half assed conversations. yeah, doesn't make sense.

yeah man sleep paralysis, what happens is you get woken up suddenly during your REM cycle and your body is still releasing the chemicals that keeps your body still when your asleep, some people hear voices but thast because your minds still in sleep mode and your hearing your dreams, i had 2 in a row and looked it up some crazy shit no one knows under what conditions they happen though

on a more serois note, ill be having a dream about skiing, then i wake up and start claiming the shit out of what i though i just did, then i calm down and apolagize

This is what really happens when people say they got abducted by aliens. They have a case about sleep paralysis. When you are sleeping, your body paralyzes you so you don't act out your dreams. So I guess it is a good thing

2 of my friends have that. crazy shit there.
i heard somewhere that if you relax and roll with it while its happening, you can separate yourself from your body. like float around for a few seconds till it wears off. im serious. and not high.

what i really hate is when i'm having an intense dream and in the dream i'll be yelling something and then i'll wake up and realize i just yelled it out loud because everyone's looking at me. it's especially awkward when you're yelling out death threats.

That happened to me but I thought my friend was coming to punch me like he always wakes me up. So i was struggling to get into battle position but all I could do was vibrate my head for two minutes. Worst two minutes of my life hands down.

shit happened to me once i woke up in the middle of the night but my body wouldn't move and i swear to god i was looking at my door and it started creeping open and a dark figure started floating towards me, then i suddenly was able to move and i looked over at my door and it was closed... freaky shit

You guys should join the lucid dream cult :D

I had sleep paralysis in a car once, i could hear the rest of my family talking and stuff and i tried to say stuff but i think i just made a gurgling sound.

i had a dream about skiing

it was at sugarbowl(at tahoe)

and i screw up some how and ened up skiing onto the ashpalt parking lot

it DESTROYED the base on my skis and i remember feeling like crap.

then i woke up.

i had sleep paralysis once, it was trippy as fuck. it was sorta scary at first, but i had read about it before so i realized what it was when it was happening. it was crazy tho, since everything seemed completely real. near the end of it i started to fall off my bed, and no matter how hard i struggled i couldn't stop getting closer, then i woke up and i hadn't moved a muscle

i get it all the time, i made a thread on this a while ago. the other day i took a nap at work resting my head on my arms like in class in a chair, and i was dreaming i was an olympic swimmer at the backstroke event. i dreamt that i threw my head back to start the race, and i threw my head up off my arms and woke up instantly

Never had it, i kind of want to. I probably had a little similar moment when i some doctors where putting me to sleep when i had surgery. Couldnt move at all for some time and then my memory went blank.

Although i've got these weird thing almost every night when im almost asleep and i think/dream about skiing or something and i fall or trip on my dream my legs move to keep me balanced or something, and then im fully awake again

dude you are so mixed up, DMT trip is the dream itself not the inability to move, also being able to control your dream is lucid dreaming, having nothing to do with DMT or sleep paralysis

not completely. I've gotten hypnogogia for years, and fairly frequently. the effects are sleep paralysis as well as other things. but I don't get the other things.

I trip balls. and I get the most amazing body high ever, it feels better than sex. and I've learned to prolong all of this when it starts to happen for as long as I can. its exhilirating, a little scary, and intensely pleasurable all at the same time. better than any drug in existence, its hard to even describe it. sometimes thousands of voices talk to me, other times my thoughts turn into dreams which turn back into thoughts.

it just feels so good, I can't put it in words.

i'm not sure if this is similar or not, but i woke up yesterday and could move (still laying down) but i picked up something i thought was my phone and clicked the side and it appeared to be dead, then i went back to sleep and half hour later i woke up and my phone was on the other side of the room, im not sure what i picked up.

that happens to me alot. i've gotten to where i can make my self wake up or go to sleep it's kinda cool
