That mountain in CO

Hood is in oregon, i don't think there are any liftserved areas open all summer in colo. A-basin is usually open till the start of july i think. I know alot of people hike St. Mary's glacier and other BC stuff. All this being said, I live in massachusetts and have never been to colorado in my life, so don't listen to me.
 
St. Mary's has snow most of the summer but only enough to maybe make a couple turns or line some rails up later in the summer
 
Arapahoe Basin is normally open into July but they are closing early again this year to build a new mid mountain lodge. Last day is June 6th.
 
^yea and A-Basin is looking at some snow making so they can stay open year round from what I hear. Dont know for sure, just a rumor.
 
^Yeah they just got snowmaking this year, theyve been using it all season, and with the epic snow year the 303 got, im stoaked for june basin sesssions
 
not trying to be a dick here, but a-basin is closing the weekend of june 5th. not because their building a mid-mountain lodge or any other stupid shit like that, but because they don't sell lift tickets in the summer and they lose money. quit posting stupid fucking shit when you dont know what the fuck you are talking about. thats how rumors get started, and morons talking out of their ass starting them piss me off even more.
 
Not trying to be a dick here, but Bendito who FUCKING WORKS AT ABASIN said they are closing early to build a new mid mountain lodge. If there is a new lodge going in, I hope that you walk your cynical ass into oncomming traffic. If not, we were all duked by Bendito, so fucking be it.
 
considering that i saw an officail announcement about the lodge and that A-basin has stayed open till august in the past i think YOU need to stop talking out of your ass. dick here.

you crackhead, thats the montezuma expansion. it's still just a proposal. the plans do include a lodge, but nothing has been approved, and it DEFINITELY isn't being built this summer, which is what this argument is about. they're closing on june 5th because not enough people are buying lift tickets at that time of the year to keep the business running in the black. i live 10 minutes from the basin, ski there a shitload, and i've talked to the main people in charge. lift ops and the like have no clue on what is happening.

you dont need a ski area in the summertime. make a road trip out west, and go 4 wheeling waaay in the mountains, and there you will find your snow
