Thanksgiving PA skiing

I know it all depends on conditions, but what resorts usually open over Thanksgiving break? I know Wisp usually does, as does BB. I even remember Roundtop opening Black Friday two years ago. So close to winter!
 
Forecast not looking so hot, or rather, a little too hot right now. I'll be surprised if anything in PA is open in november.
 
In another thread it said big boulder will open black friday! Any word on 7springs, blue mountain, or anything else in PA or the surrounding area?
 
Wouldn't count on it. It's happened in recent years but those were flukes. If you want tday skiing go to vt.
 
Amen, I've got some trash stix. Old ass straight skis that are blown apart at the front should do the trick. Just need to find a spot for a bonfire.
 
I tired to get the waking winter party back at bear but it was a no go. Last time there was a sacrificial fire & ice cube donations for our ponds.
 
If no mountains are open by then, everyone should go to the T-Day jam at Park 1260 on Sunday the 28th.

In Hanover township, by Bethlehem this Saturday, we'll be doing a rail jam at the Community center.
We've got a plethora of boxes/rails, so come at noon and "jib it up"

I set up my dub barrel today and had a short sesh.The snow is really light, so it took me forever to build the lip to the needed height.it was super fun though.
 
idk bout all that, but 7 Springs started today. well atleast enough for the pre-jib. not really thanksjibbing news, but good news nonetheless
 
blue is a bit further south than bb and cbk, little bit warmer. temps still look good though. im worried about monday-wednesday though, they're calling for rain and high temps...chances are they'll be leaving whatever snow they make in piles to make an attempt at keeping through the few days of warmth/rain so that'll probably be a no go for an opening this weekend. probably wont be able to groom anything out without losing most of the base....shits expensive, my guess is these places won't run the risk of losing all the snow. could be wrong though...I hope this warm spell is some bullshit lets pray for some solid temps!
 
Just got back from blue and they were blowing, but they said after today, they'll just be blowing at night.
 
me too I went up for my pass...looks like they were blowing on challenge last night, nice to see some white. after this weeks warm hump we should be alllllll good for ski season
 
Dub post, but I walked up mainstreet today, and it was definitely skiable to a point.
Maybe someone would be up to dragging a pvc dub barrel up there with me and seshing it up.
 
Heard from a blue employee that they were told opening day is dec. 10th (next friday) at employee orientation. They've been blowing a lot of snow lately so that should hold up.
Also...now this is rumor, haven't got confirmation on it yet, but I heard through the grapevine that BB will be open on friday...don't quote me on that, but I have confidence in believing that.
Either way, PA's ski season is about to be hurrrr
