i would like to thank ns to opening me up to a new kind of skiing. to explain this, i will give you a run down of my season...

summer 07 - really stoked on upcoming season (dont know about ns yet)
i had only gone up 9 or 10 times the year before, but i was really looking forward to getting really into skiing

fall 07 - waiting for season to start

season opening - i go up with some friends from school, thinking to myself "this season im going to get really good at park" (still dont know about ns) the friends i go up with arent really interested in park, but i go and ski with them anyways

january - i find out about ns via a newschoolers.com sticker on a helmet, but i join not really knowing what it is all about, and the pattern with my friends from school impeding my progress continues on and on

march - finally i just say im gonna find some new people to go up with that care about park. by this point in the season, all i am doing is just learning the ropes of freestyle skiing, but am starting to get really into it

april - i start to feel more comfortable in the park, although i still am not very good. i start to really find out what newschoolers is all about.

may - i hurt up my knee while being a dumbass, and although its not bad, im not able to ski at west coast sessions, which i felt could have really helped me, and i also lose about 4 weeks. whatever, no big deal.

now here i am, and i am once again really stoked on next season. im not going to let myself fall into the pattern of doing what my friends want to do, but rather working on what i want to do, and i have newschoolers to thank for that, to opening me up to a new kind of skiing that i am really stoked on

i'm really stoked to hear that. it's cool how you're doing you're own thing, who cares if your friends do it or not, you got a whole website that's behind it. glad you found something you love, heal up and good luck next season.

You definitely have the right attitude, welcome to skiing at it's funnest.
 
three years ago I randomly typed newschoolers.com into the url thingy because I was bored and now I have been hooked ever since... yeah random as.
 
Yeah I don't remember how I found this site, but once I did, I could not stop looking at it, and then became a member and now what? I'm obsessed, and I really wanna excel at this someday. And it's a community that is obsessed with skiing like me. I'm not a minority on here, I'm the same as everybody else.
 
yay ns stickers i found out from a friend and lurked for a longgg time before joining ns now serves my procrastination needs

I sure have become alot more stoked on skiing since I found the site though. I cant even remember how I found it now
 
good to hear. When i first came on here i didnt know that much about tech park and rail tricks or anobody but big name pros. Now i have tons of useless knowlege that I will never use anywhere else.
 
Yeah thats me too.

I love what NS stands for and what its done for the ski community. Ive met some super cool people from NS and am so glad I joined!
