Wow, the only decent shot was the insane double stager. I've never hated a trailer before, but I came so close with this one. This is the first one that I didn't enjoy watching.
oh. oh wow. guess that's proof that you can't just ride on the Warren Miller name and expect everyone to love the trailer. there were a few cool shots though. and that really old shot of the guy with the upright counter-rotation technique was pretty rad.
Ever since his son took over the company it's been going downhill. I didn't like Kurt the first year he took over and made an appearance at the Portland stops because he was so cocky and he just puts off the aura of riding his dads coattails and not really living the dream like Warren did. This was the end for me. no more Miller.
TGR's teaser to the trailer was sarcastic and witty and fun to watch. This one, mainly due to the use of old movies and, what was it, 5 shots of skiing, (and the 3 missed tail was the worst looking 3 blah.) didn't appeal to anyone as a fun little teaser. I still say Millers movies as of late are downers, so will the actual movie this fall persuade anyone otherwise?
I'm glad Warren himself hasn't been involved with the last bunch. They've all been crap haven't they? What happened to the company, was it taken over by his son, or someone else, I heard all sorts of things.
