Thank You Skiing

After thinking about skiing a lot over the past week and a half I felt like I needed to say thank you to skiing and everyone involved in getting me pumped up to ride every winter. I just decided to quit doing opiates after a few years of use because I had the realization that I was not going to make it back to Keystone for the winter if I kept doing what I was doing. I realized that above all else, skiing is the most important thing to me. Many factors go into this, from everyone filming, to everyone making gear, to everyone that works at the resorts with me, to anyone else involved in the industry who strives to make it better for all of us. Because of all of that, I have been able to stay off the opiates for a week and a half now, and I plan on staying off so I can rock out the winter in Summit again. So thank you everyone in skiing for helping me realize what was really important to me and helping me get my shit straightened out. Always remember which powder your true love really is.

Opiates suck. I know how you feel man, trust me. That decision is hard, but following through with it is even harder. Good luck man.

If this was facebook I would press "like". This is awesome! I hope you will have lots and lots of great powderdays this winter!

OP keep up the epic journey of self improvement! Become the ideal version of yourself! It is great to see someone realize what life is all about and the energy that comes from that realization! you are inspirational. always stirve to be inspiring to someone around you and you will never regret anything!

Keep off that shit mane! Congrats dude, I'm always super pumped for winter, like even the week after the season ends!

Just a little longer man. Then its back to the mountains for another

amazing season. Your not alone. Stay strong man. Then before you know

it, it's ski season.

this is awesome man! go through with it and you will be pleased, you will be a better skier, cause its your one and only drug!

Fuck yeah, stoked to hear that! I have a few friends who are addicted to heroin, and it's hard to watch someone go down that road. Many of them tried to quit, and have relapsed several times, and one kid I knew recently died from an overdose. I hope you can successfully pull yourself out of that man, stay strong and shred hard. Opiates suck

That's an awesome story. I can't imagine you have an easy road ahead, but speaking on behalf of everyone at MSP, I encourage you to power through. Skiing is a drug in and of itself.
