Blah, blah, blah, everyone hates everyone else. More than likely 99% of the kids in this thread wouldn't ever know the difference since all you do is smoke weed and bitch about America. I know a fair few people here who do anything useful, but like I said, a few. I would be embarassed to have an opinion on shit that I a) don't understand since I hadn't actually been old enough to vote or experience what happens, or b) don't have a job (not McDonalds, but a fucking job that might actually be affected by what happens in the country). "fromyourstruly", for example (ya, I'll call you out since you do it to the entire US population so often - ps, if you respond, I won't read it because you are an idiot and I rarely believe what you have to say), has a daily opinion on why the world is so selfish and gay compared to him. Too bad my parents don't pay for all my shit so I can tell other people how terrible they are. I guarantee I put more into my community, my family, and my country than any one of you and it makes me sick to hear everyone bitch so much. I am always proud to be an American, but some of the people here make me wonder why sometimes. Apparently the majority of America is simply pissed off at America.
 
Oh, and since no one actually said anything intelligent to counter the thread creator (or anything even on topic), I would suggest you research what a filibuster actually is before you say it's a great thing that the country is now essentially a dictatorship. The thread creator was upset (rightfully so) that the country can only go in the direction that a handful of people want it to. That is dangerous. It has nothing to do with your political opinion, it is simply dangerous to not have those balances in the United States.
 
he's not saying the capitalists will be strung up in the square. He is just pointing out the very real domination of the democratic party in Washington. The republican minority will make it incredibly hard to really counter liberal movements.

The presidential term lasts for 4 years bozo. You Obama people sound like you want a Caesar here, "Dictator for Life." Already calling for an 8 year reign when the first day hasn't even come yet. You make me sick. This guy has not proven anything in his entire career. The only thing he has proven is his incredible ability to take the american people for a ride. With obama's connections to Bill Ayers alone, he would never be able to obtain a job with the FBI or the CIA. Well, lets give him the presidency then.
 
First, to anyone who's argument here is 'If you dont like it, LEAVE', you're a fucking moron and need to shut your mouth and reconsider those great American freedoms.

On the subject now, I'm actually a little flustered too. I dont really like seeing our country completely dominated politically by one party. While it does get shit done, it really just tends to deepen the divide between our people.

As an alternative, I'd love to see more independants get a seat here and there. We need to start getting people on middle ground, not on either side of lines, in order to make our government work effectively. We need some god damned moderation.

the president elect, and not JESUS CHRIST here to save you. Yes you
