you also have to look at that he might have been sick of skiing. hes been a pro for so long and he was on his way out and he had the oprotunity to try something new as well as help out publicity for skiing and himself. you guys would host an mtv show, you get to hang out in the carribean, get hot as hell girls, and make a lot of money and get famous, its a pretty good deal.

That's what I think people are trying to say though, Mosely never really seemed to ski to 'just have fun' for himself. He always went for the fame and money, and there's nothing wrong with that, but he isn't necesarilly the best 'spokes-person' for our sport.

jonny has done a lot for the sport, whether you want to admit it or not. most of you obviously dont know him, so dont tell me he's a pansy or a sellout, cuz he's not. first, ill second what a bunch of people have been saying by saying that you would too.. think about it, he was in a stage in his career where he was young, confused and he could get the fame easily.

now i dont agree that he has always been one for money and fame (i forget who said that).. i didnt know him at that time, but i know people who knew him when he was young in his career, and he was (and still is) a really down to earth guy.

the MTV thing was just a phase, and even so, there's nothing wrong with it.

First of all, last time I checked (his website) he's busy going to UC-Berkley, so no wonder he isn't pumping out ski movies. Second, how can he sell out by going to MTV? MTV doesn't have anything to do with skiing. It's not like he did anything against the ski industry with MTV...if a snowboard company paid him a bunch of money to do something, that would be selling out. But not MTV...and we should be thanking Jonny for his game, his skis, and his 360 Mute...I know I am. Thank you Jonny for your game, the skis, and the 360 mute.

holy shit, I just remembered that I had all these old videos of him at freestyle comps and he's like godly! He could also bring some major turns in some older Warren Miller movies too...

I guess he's just good at moguls and big mountain and that's where his passion is, but as far as the selling out goes I seriously would not host an MTV show no matter how much they paid me or where I got to stay. It's just my personal opinion that the people that watch MTV (no offense to anybody here that does) are not generally the type of people who are going to look at Mosely and say, 'He's an incredible skier!' They're going to look at him and say, 'Man that guy's hot!' or 'I wish I were in Florida with a bunch of hot chicks!' And the truth is, those are the people who don't understand the sport of skiing and all that it means to us.

Lots of people don't understand the sport of skiing...hell lots of my friends don't understand it. It doesn't mean I don't hang out with them still...they just don't have to ski with me. And just because they don't fully understand the whole 'newschool movement' or whatever doesn't mean they can't like Jonny. If they see Jonny and know that he won the gold for skiing, and they think that he's cool, maybe they say 'Hey, skiing is cool too' and right there Jonny helps our sport.

when he hosted though i dont think he like put out there that he was a skier. i mean he did but he didnt. he wore ski shirts. yea. and one of the prizes was skis. yea. but the only thing they showd of him was a few clips in his first season hosting. i think htey should have had a skiing contest for one of the episodes. but yea selling out to mtv isnt selling out. that doesnt make sense
